Mariscat's founder, the poet, publisher and editor Hamish Whyte will be launching A Spell of Watching: New and Selected Poems (Shoestring Press) at Fruitmarket this Thursday at 6.30 p.m. He'll be joined by Mariscat poet Diana Hendry, reading from her collection of essays about her writing career - A Dangerous Job. Mariscat is delighted to announce the publication of two stunning pamphlets this month: Cargo, by Charlotte Gann (poems about the emotional and familial freight we all carry) and MX SIMP by Kate Hendry (a sequence about the author's treatment for breast cancer).
