Hi, I’m Jemma!

I launched Shae Communications at the start of 2017, straight of uni, because I had no luck finding a job, despite doing everything “right” in the lead up to my search. Everything we are told is right, anyway.

​I finished my degree, did five unpaid internships within those three years and simultaneously worked 25+ hours per week in retail. Yet I kept getting knocked back for entry level jobs, and interviewed for higher level ones, only to be told I was too inexperienced.

​I remained optimistic – I had never been scared of not finding a job – I knew I had the attitude, skills and experience, and whatever was meant to be, would find me.

I figured my only option was keep adding to my resume, so I started my sixth unpaid internship.
