It was such a good and long overdue catch up with some fab voiceover friends. I need to do this more often!
There’s something about being in the room with someone, that just can’t be beaten!
It’s more than ‘just warm & fuzzies’, but incredibly affirming.
When I said that to my 12 year old, she said ‘Does that mean linked- like how I feel when I see my old primary school friends?’.
Yes! That exactly!
These are people I’ve shared a booth with, dissected a script with, talked on talked back with, discussed digital marketing, shared chapters of life and watched them flourish.
Blooming loved it!
Thanks so much @b_2_es for organising. It was fab to sponsor as @freelancemumnetwork and finally meet @goodnessmarketing in person.
The weekend was made all the more fun, for sharing the road trip with @alanmedcroft and @neelebjerre - here’s to staying social!

🎙️ Spotlight on Voiceover, Presenting and How I Gained My Equity Card 🎙️
While many of you may know me as the founder of Freelance Mum, my journey actually began as a voiceover artist and presenter.
Early in my career, I had the incredible opportunity to feature in an episode of BBC Casualty on the BBC, a milestone that earned me my Equity card, which was a real milestone moment at a young age, in my career.
This clip features a throwback to that episode, from series 5, written by Catherine Johnson. It was a really ‘racy’ storyline for it’s day, featuring a boy who was dressing up as a girl. Have a watch to see more.
Since then, I’ve honed my skills across various projects, from bringing scripts to life with voice work to engaging audiences as a presenter.
This industry has always been my passion, and it’s a privilege to connect with audiences in a way that brings their stories to life.
If you’re looking for a versatile, experienced voiceover artist or presenter for your next project, I’d love to chat!
Feel free to get in touch, I always love being involved in creative projects and bring ideas to life.

🎙️ Voiceover is about more than just delivering lines—it’s about creating emotional connections.
This summer, I had the pleasure of recording a 30 second radio advert with Global for a recycling centre in Kent.
On the surface, it was “just an advert” encouraging people to bring their rubbish to a recycling centre, in Kent.
But, as with every voiceover project, there’s always an opportunity to go deeper, than that.
In fact, story telling in a 30 second commercial, is a real art form and one that I love.
You need to make an emotional connect from the get-go.
It wasn’t just a list of recyclable items—it was a story, with each line adding a new dimension.
Through the right tone and pacing, the ad became more than an instruction; it became a narrative, a conversation, and a call to action that resonated on a personal level.
Here’s what I brought to the mic for this commercial
• The Art of ‘The List’: Each item was delivered with a unique tone to keep listeners engaged and create subtle shifts in emotion.
• Storytelling in Every Line: Each phrase was crafted to make a deeper, memorable connection.
• Purpose Beyond the Message: Even in a short ad, a voice can bring warmth, urgency, or community spirit, turning a simple announcement into something meaningful.
• Life experience: Wisdom, knowledge and meaning.
Even ‘just a 30 second advert’ can be an incredibly rewarding experience to record and deliver.
If you’re looking for a voice that can bring your story to life—whether it’s a commercial, narration, or something in between—I’d love to connect.
