The weather has definitely challenged anglers lately. The water temps have been a bit up and down, but have basically hovered in the mid to upper 70s. Let’s hope for a normal fall with a long, slow, consistent decline in those temps throughout. That is what brings the great musky and walleye fishing in the fall.

Now that fall is on the near horizon, we’re looking forward to some great fall fishing following a really active summer. Water temps have been in the mid-70s – great swimming on a hot day! The traffic on the lakes is slowing a bit now, which bodes well for daytime fishing, and the mosquitoes and flies seem to have backed off a bit. All in all, this is a great time of the summer.
