On the last day, that great day of the feast, JESUS stood and cried out, saying, ‘If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’ (John 7:37-39)

PRAY OVER THIS

“You are My friends if you do whatever I command you. No longer do I call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I heard from My Father I have made known to you. You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. These things I command you, that you love one another.”

(John 15:14-17)

BORICUAS are erroneously thrown into a catch-all category described by names such as "Latin Americans" or "Latino" by journalists and most media outlets. This is a mistake in fact that hurts the Boricua Community.

We must educate the media, all Americans, and the world that we are DIFFERENT! It is up to every Boricua to educate others. Make these points emphatically:

First Reason: PUERTO RICO is NOT a nation. PR is a colony! Like it or not, our nation is the United States. Since we are not a Latin American nation Puerto Ricans cannot be called Latin Americans.

Second Reason: Puerto Ricans have been American citizens for more than 100 years and we have fought (and died) for the US all that time. No other "Latino" group can make that claim.

Third Reason: When "Latinos" get opportunities in business and politics, the general public cannot know how many of those "Latinos" are in fact Boricuas.

Fourth Reason: Puerto Ricans do not have an IMMIGRATION problem (since we are natural born American citizens) yet we are falsely labeled IMMIGRANTS by many journalists. We can and should support Latinos who DO have immigration issues. But this is not OUR issue. Our main issue is DECOLONIZATION and we should educate ALL journalists of this fact.

You could probably ADD other reasons why we should not be categorized as anything OTHER than Puerto Rican or Boricua. Go forth to EDUCATE others why we should not be labeled LATIN AMERICAN.

Undocumented migrants flown to Martha’s Vineyard have filed a class action lawsuit against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis and other officials, alleging they were convinced to get on the planes with “false promises and misrepresentations” about the employment, housing, and educational opportunities that awaited them. DeSantis has denied the charges, claiming all migrants signed consent forms and took the trip voluntarily.
