As of September 2023, there have been 106 amendments to the Constitution of since it was first enacted in 1950. This itself proves that the Indian is no longer what it was or intended to be. It has evolved but with a major disability of iron cast basic structure. In that context, in this column, I have picked up to discuss the space of reforms in the higher judiciary in India.
Honestly, the idea to discuss the reforms in the Indian higher judiciary was prompted after reading a recently published interview (sourced from a podcast – Prachayam) of a well-known , a member of the Indian Prime Minister's Economic Advisory Council. It was published in a reputed Indian magazine hashtag Today. He has advocated that the hashtag ought to be modernised, in the absence of which, it will perhaps be the major obstacle to the country's economic, social, and national advancement.

In this column, I am supplementing my views with what Sanyal advocated regarding . I agree with him on some points and disagree as well on a few.

Where there's a will, there's a way. Ben Newton, 30, who never went to university, earns £1 million at Deloitte as a partner. Ben joined Deloitte 12 years ago through its apprenticeship scheme called Brightstart. Last year, he became a partner in the firm at 30 and makes £1 million or more annually. This also made him the first partner from Deloitte Brightstart's apprentice scheme for school leavers. Ben was the first in his family to receive an acceptance letter from the University of Warwick to study math. However, he declined it and ultimately joined Deloitte's program. He is now qualified as an accountant and works as an auditor.

Kudos to Deloitte, who began its scheme as a way to increase its hiring pool and offer people more opportunities directly in the workforce rather than through universities.

An eye-opener for all the big MNCs and Accounting firms around the globe. has truly been a trendsetter.

She secured the 21st slot on the list of all billionaires. No. 3 is Julia Koch. She is worth $64.3 billion - placing her at 23rd in the entire list of billionaires. This isn't merely a symbolic post. It is my short opinion note (personal random thought). Today is . I just take this day as a reminder of an explicitly proven and unassailably certain reality, which is that women may have been unfairly less celebrated in our society BUT by far they have more endurance, resolve and valour (or if I may say `nerve’) than men. Ordinarily, comparisons between or amongst anybody are never taken as fair and constructive. However, the one between men and women is imperative because our society still suffers from massive prejudices and sexism (or if I may say `chauvinistic jingoism’). I have seen the bravest and the most courageous of men breaking mentally and physically in challenging situations whilst their concerned women rise like a phoenix. I have been extremely lucky to have the most inspiring women in my life be it my mom, my mom-in-law, my wife, and my daughter. I will always owe it to them for my restorative evolution be it in personal or professional spaces. We all men should be fair and honest in dedicating our accomplishments and resurgence (in our day-to-day lives) to women be it in family, friends, and even women mentors at our places of education and work.
