The Vision of UrbanWMN

we write from a new york perspective and also a Jesus loving perspective.

our desire is for women everywhere to thrive, to love themselves, to realize how deeply loved and fully known they are by Jesus and to learn the balance of taking space and making space for others. we uplift the stories, challenges, victories and prayers of women of color, namely Black and Hispanic women, in the area of achieving balance in societies whose roots are dipped in anti-Black narratives.

we don’t plan on dismantling racially charged structures overnight. until then we will dine at the table prepared in the presence of our enemies. we will anoint each other’s heads with oil. we will learn to lead lives, led by Christ, which allows for our joy to overflow. surely goodness and mercy will follow us, all the days of our lives.

we will learn to reconcile our trauma. we are making a content driven space that allows women to unpack their heavy. we are making space for rest in the heart of busy cities. in the heart of inequity. despite the struggle, we are making space to rise by uplifing one another.
