Our Hiatus
Hey everyone! We mentioned it passively in an instagram story, but wanted to make something for anyone who may have missed it or to anyone wondering where we are.

Space Zambonie started as a labor of love. Two friends drinking, eating halal, and playing Mega Man X. From that we evolved into animations, podcast, ghost hunting, music videos, award shows, and so much more. And from just myself and Matt we saw the channel grow with new people and be a place that felt like home. Anytime people came by to record, it felt like having a family party.

It’s been a journey I’ve been blessed to be on, and one that I’ve been on since before I was even married. We started this chapter of our lives in 2016, and have been working on nonstop for 8 years. I’ve seen myself move out, get engaged, get married, and am now the father of two children.

455,000 views, hundreds of videos, tons of streams, 2 released albums, and 1 consistently changing algorithm. An algorithm that had us running around testing what would be the best received content, what would help us grow, what would get people to see what we were creating… and being completely honest we never really got to hit a high or a stride.

Our Osomatsu parody dub was an amazing part of our channel, and something that kept us growing until copyright strikes and battles with TV Tokyo caused us to reevaluate it completely.

For the time being, I need to just take a break. I don’t know how long it’ll be, but I know I need it. We have been releasing 3 videos a week, one of those being for our members, and streaming two days a week. Meaning 5 days a week of content. We clocked in over 100 episode of our Space Zambonie podcast. And I’m genuinely exhausted.

I’m going to take some time to try to get back my footing and come back as good as I can. Realistically even saying this… I’m still animating and working on projects we already had in the pipeline.

You’ll probably see us try other things, make different types of content, and still floating around working on other things. But yeah just wanted to formally brain dump this.

Thank you for everyone who has supported us, watched our content, tuned into streams, chatted in our discord, sang along to our songs, laughed alongside us… we truly love all of you.
