HAPPY OLYMPIC DAY!

As we get set to converge on Paris in just over a month, it's time to once again celebrate the founding of the modern Olympics on this very day in the same city back in 1894 by Pierre de Coubertin.

The theme for Olympic day this year is "Let's Move and Celebrate", asking everyone to ignite a collective passion to get active and connected through sport.

It's also that annual occasion for all of us Olympic geeks to celebrate the greatest sporting event on the planet and come together as one big Olympic family at the same time! We find it an honour to be able to bring you some amazing stories from some amazing people related to the Olympics and have some fun doing so along the way. And without you joining us every week, it wouldn't be possible, so thank you!

After switching to the sport from a promising rugby career, Kyle was risen up the ranks in the sport of weightlifting rapidly, securing a silver medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games and 3 gold at the 2023 Pacific Games. He recently secured his spot on the plane to Paris and talks to us about his incredible journey in the sport in an a brutally honesty and open interview.

Pumped to bring back another of our favourite guests tomorrow as we catch up with Aussie Olympic shooter Sergei Evglevski!

Sergei has gone on to great things since we caught up with him after the Tokyo Olympics, most notably securing a silver medal at the World Cup in Indonesia last year as well as finishing 13th at the World Championships. In our latest interview with him, Sergei talks about those outstanding achievements as well as his hopes for Paris and most importantly, his love of all things to do with meat pies.

Monique was introduced to the sport at an extremely young age, being snuck into boxing gyms well before she was of age. Climbing through the ranks, she has gone on to be one of Australia's leading 50kg boxers and sealed her ticket for Paris at the Pacific Games last year. In an open and honest chat, Monique goes through the highs and lows of her career and tells us just why she is going to Paris to get a history making gold medal for Australia.
