In honor of Women’s History Month, The Bridge at UNC is pleased to present our series! For the remaining days of the month, we will be highlighting a woman of color that inspires our staff! ✨

Today’s highlight is Malala Youdafzai, a Pakistani student and activist known for speaking out against the Taliban for her right(and the right of all girls) to be educated. We admire her bravery and continuation to fight for the right for education for girls, especially in the Global South. As college students, we acknowledge our privilege of getting this opportunity and honor those who fought for our right to be educated as well as those who who continue to fight for education equity.
