While presiding over the police graduation ceremony in the capital Aweil, Governor Simon Uber Mawut, says the graduation signals police’s readiness to tackle criminal activities across the state and called on officers to put the knowledge they have acquired into practice.

The government of Warrap State has secured nine trucks loaded with sorghum to be sold at subsidized prices across the state, a critical step towards improving food security and market prices.
The State Economic Advisor, Riak Madut, and Ministers of Trade Nyibol Ater Maror and that of Agriculture John Deng Madut among others saw off the trucks departing from Juba for the state on Thursday.
Minister of Trade Nyibol praised business tycoon Joseph Maror Akol for his contribution, stating the food will be distributed across the six counties.

The minister of finance and planning, Dr. Marial Dongrin Ater, has issued a statement on Tuesday in Juba reiterating South Sudan’s commitment to implementing the Voluntary National Review (VNR) report on the 2030 agenda on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the United Nations high-level political forum in New York, that focuses on zero hunger, good health and wellbeing, quality education, decent work and economic growth, industrial renovation and infrastructure among others.
While South Sudan is presenting its first Voluntary National Review report in New York, minister Dongrin calls for collective efforts to accelerate progress on sustainable development goals towards enhancing better future for South Sudanese.

The newly appointed minister of finance and planning, Dr. Marial Dongrin Ater, has officially assumed office on Monday. Dongrin, who replaced Eng. Awow Daniel Chuang last week, highlights the steps his administration would undertake in coordination with South Sudan Revenue Authority (SSRA) and Bank of South Sudan (BoSS) towards economic reforms, saying government will prioritize financial allocation to important sectors including agriculture to stimulate domestic productivity, self-sufficiency and economic growth.

PROSPERITY LIMITED OPENS NEW CENTERS
The management of Prosperity Limited has announced the opening of two new centers in Mangateen and Munuki 107 for selling subsidized maize flour to the public as part of alleviating the country’s soaring market inflation. These new centers will complement the existing five centers in Juba City, offering maize flour at prices lower than those in the market.
In a statement to SSBC, the Managing Director of Prosperity Limited, Akoc Akuei Manhiem, emphasized that the new centers aim to support the existing ones in Juba City, outlining the company’s future plans to mechanize agriculture and produce food locally.
Akoc also expressed gratitude to the National Ministry of Finance and Planning for its support, which has enabled Prosperity Limited to import more food into the country.
