"Confidence is key in this industry, but it's not always easy to come by. As actors, we are constantly judging ourselves and our abilities, wondering if we're good enough. And let's not forget about the constant rejection that comes with this career. It can be tough to keep going when you hear 'no' more than 'yes'. But here's the thing - you are enough. Your talent, your hard work, and your unique voice matter. Don't let the opinions of others or the industry's standards make you doubt yourself. Keep honing your craft, keep pushing yourself out of your comfort zone, and most importantly, believe in yourself. Because the only thing that can truly hold you back is your own self-doubt. Keep shining, fellow actors."

We asked him about what he loved best about acting and he said "the part I enjoy most is being able to learn about different people and characters. From the way a character walks, to talks. His favourite music and food. Essentially shaping the world of the character with what’s already given and what I can add from the text and then fully transforming into him."

Today we have the 'Jake Of All Trades', Mr Jake Whyte [] stepping up. Jake starred in a feature role in the BBC3 Comedy Series 'PRU'. He has one of the best accent ranges we've seen in a while and his energy is dope!

His monologue is taken from 'Sn**ch'... If you've seen the film you'll recognise it as soon as you hear it.

We workshopped this performance on the day with .qassim looks like he is a natural on screen. Our director explained that understanding a character's mental environment and emotional experiences are prerequisites for effective acting. Thus, acting requires what is known as the theory of mind (the capacity to comprehend and interpret the mental and emotional states of others) and empathy (the ability to experience the feelings of others)

Speaking on what she thinks the best thing about acting is... I think the ability to tell stories and bring visual life to ideas is super exciting. It can take you to a whole other realm of life that you'd never otherwise think of. Being an actor is like having a portal into so many different worlds!... How exciting is that!!

Next up we have Amelia Michaels! Amelia trained as a dancer/musical theatre performer until she was 18 and then transitioned into Acting and trained at READ College for a year, then at Identity School of Acting. Her training has been extensive in improvisation & more recently with Lonesome Workshops.

In her monologue, she plays a 14-year-old girl from Hackney called Tracy as she recalls the last days of innocence before adulthood.

Anisa got her start as a star in the television show Ishaan, which aired on Disney Channel India. She also made her film debut in Shuja Ali's (a well known bollywood director) movie Baat Bann Gayi. So in the words of the great Ron Burgandy…. She's kind of a big deal! 👌😂
