Let's talk about Nigerian flight delays and cancellations. These airlines will give you 'obala mgbani enu' with their 3am email, cancelling your flight for that day. One of the airlines even changed the flight from Anambra Airport to Enugu Airport...an 8:15am flight. Even though we now know it will never depart on time.

In civilised countries, airlines must provide care, assistance, and compensation for delayed and cancelled flights. This is dependent on waiting times, what caused the delay etc. If what is happening in Nigeria, happens there, lawsuit for don 'brekete'

Why is our own aviation different?
What does the law say biko? Someone help me ask Timi Agbaje.
Does the aviation sector need help that is not forthcoming?

I prepared "Ji Anyammiri" for umunna before I left for the airport after mum's burial. Ji means yam, and Anyammiri means tears...so 'yam of tears', 'yam for tears', 'yam crying', 'crying yam', 'tears of yam'...help me interprete please😃

My uncle had earlier informed us of ceremony after 4 market days of burial, which entailed taking down the funeral parlour and tent...itọsa mkpukpu, as it is called.

According to him, that must be done to signify the end of condolences. The married daughters will present the umunna with 8 kolanuts each or the monetary equivalent, bottles of beer and a sum of money called "ego anyammiri" (ego is money and anyammiri is tears...so interprete also cos I can't 🤣). I also had to cook the yam for them.

Now, this Ji Anyammiri is just yam pottage...as we call it. It is only to be eaten by those that their mothers have died and their fathers, I think too. If yours is still alive, even though you are part of umunna, you should not partake in it. Don't ask me what will happen if you do o 🙃.

Dinner 'penance' after downloading doughnuts - one original glazed and one pistachio overload from ...with an iced coffee, because the weather calls for it.

In my plate - Lettuce and rocket leaves, carrot, celery, beetroot, onions, and one shredded chicken thigh - all dressed up good 😋.

Mum, as the joy of Mother's Day echoes in the United States and Canada, I remember how I felt on March 30, which was 'Mother's Day' in the UK. You had just left us at the beginning of that month. I didn't want to do anything or even go to church. My 13teen year old daughter saw that I was not getting ready for church...haven’t even had my shower. I told her that I don't think I can do it today and she said "I would have loved to go to church with you, but don't worry mum, I understand. I'll walk to church with my sister, and you can join online"

In that instant, I just changed my mind, leapt into the shower, and got ready for church. I didn't care about myself and grief anymore. I wanted to be there for my children on Mother's day, just you, my mother would want to be for me if it was within her power...you've done it again and again during our growing years. Thank you for being there for us ❤️ 💕 💖
