Damaging wind gusts in excess of 58 mph, and lightning is the primary threat.

Just when you thought winter was over…A strong cold front will bring the possibility of snow squalls late
this evening into the early hours of Thursday.
Snow squalls may produce briefly moderate to heavy snow with falling temperatures.
Minor snow accumulation on roadways are possible in western Massachusetts, which may lead to icy road conditions.
❄️❄️ WINTER STORM WARNING ❄️❄️
The transition from rain to snow occurred around 11:30pm last night in the lower pioneer valley , which was earlier than previously predicted. This in turn increases the total amount of snow from 3-6 to 5-9 inches.
Locations in the Berkshires have already received over a foot of snow.
This storm is still increasing in strength and an additional 4-6 inches of snow in the valley and a possible 6-8 in the hill towns is possible.
The snow should start tapering off around 10pm tonight.
The wind will undress over the day with possible wind gusts as high as 45mph.

1-2 inches of snow possible, with a light coating of ice.

I mix bag of precipitation is forecasted for most of southern new England , starting today around 1PM and lasting til Friday afternoon.
Snowfall totals of 1-3 inches for most of southern New England with higher amounts the further north and west .

‼️‼️ HAZARDOUS WEATHER UPDATE ‼️‼️
Widespread heavier rainfall associated with the storm has lifted to the north and east.
However, additional showers will be moving through the region through the afternoon as the cold front moves in.
Core of the strongest winds focused across eastern MA. Gusts 55-65 mph possible in eastern mass next hour or so before diminishing as the cold front lifts north.
Still quite windy into the afternoon with gusts 35-45 mph, and we can expect another surge of strong wind with the cold front and wind shift to SW later on this afternoon.
Cold front timing 4-7pm from west to east followed by rather impressive temp drop behind the front. Expect 25-30 degree temp fall in a 4 hour period behind the front. Expect temps by late afternoon to be falling through the 20s in western MA/CT and through the 30s in eastern New Eng. Showers may end as a brief period of snow showers in the west but should end quickly as much drier air moves in.
