Proud mommy moment. Max and I got challenged by our drawing teacher to draw this still life on gray paper just using black and white.

I can’t believe how well they turned out. Max’s pitcher is just 🤯. I’m so proud of him. And I think he was pretty proud too. Although he ran out of time to finish the glass.

But I also love the way mine turned out. The three different materials were really difficult. The pitcher was matte metal, the glass is transparent, and the shaker is super reflective.

There are some obvious mistakes, but I love this first attempt. Gotta get some more gray paper now.

Sunday afternoon fun with the CAU del dibuix 🔥

Max came too this time. He drew a portrait of me (last slide 🤯) while I was challenged myself to draw a small glass I was holding. I finished before him, so I did another small drawing of a dodecahedron - my favorite Platonic solid. ☺️

Happy.

Got some new pens today and had to try them out. One of my favorite corners in our house.

There’s usually a plant on that small table. But it’s a poinsettia and Max is trying to get it to flower again. They need to be in the dark for 14 hours. So we built a big box and put it to sleep to ensure 14 hours of darkness to encourage flowering. 🤞🏼🌺
