Freedom is a beautiful thing, but it sometimes comes at a terrible price.

It is important for us all as Americans to take a few moments or more to recognize precisely why today is a holiday.

We, as so many souls, owe so much to so few. Indeed, words will not and can not repay what we owe those who lost their lives at the altar of freedom. We can only try through our actions, hope, and pray that we honor the passion that led them to battle and final sacrifice.
