Hey I’m Joe! I’m the guy behind the mask at Shattered Lens. It’s 2020!

I love videos! Doesn’t everyone? Films, YouTube shorts, Netflix, and of course - paintball!

I’ve only been around on the UK Paintball scene since about 2015 - starting as a player in my student days, eventually moving into the media world after seeing what so many of my talented colleagues came up with. I wanted to be part of it, and set about creating a little “business” to host all of the content... which is where Shattered Lens began! (No, I don’t know why I went with that name, but I thought it was cool so stuck with it).

I’m in such a fortunate position to be working alongside so many great people. I owe a lot to Nick Truter and team Rushers - who gave me my very first breakout project in 2018 (R18) to follow their season at the UK Woodland Masters. Which thankfully - was a success!

Since then, I’ve worked for various institutions and teams, including CPPS, Truternology, Team GB, Droogs Frankfurt, London Samurai, Harrogate Wraiths, Turks & Nam Wrecking Crew to name a few. Along with having a video or two on PbNation, you may have seen my work on the NXL Europe page too. I’ve filmed the first timers, all the way to the Pros at the top of our sport.

Paintball media has given me the opportunity to travel the world, from Birmingham, to Paris, to the USA. I remain grateful, humble, and continue to work in the same way I always have done, make the videos for the amazing community, my friends - and see their reactions (whilst being sure I don’t financially ruin myself in the process).

2020 sees some changes - notably some more playing time for me. More importantly, moving forward and partnering up with Ryan at Blitzed Media. He’s been in this game for a long time, and we both have some big plans we want to see materialised, combining our experience and resources to make it happen - I mean check out this logo edit!

I’m more excited than ever for the upcoming paintball season. I’ve made my new years resolutions to ensure I make things happen. It’s going to be an amazing year, join me for the ride!
