My friend @_sofiakarim_ said to me once that sometimes you just create work and then let it do its thing out in the world. Publishing the TFM Resistance Zine in print and then seeing it travel around the world is still a surreal experience for me! Designed by Studio Kohl, the zine is truly a labor of love. Everything just came together when the zine actually needed to be out in the world - conversations, permissions, fantastic design, excellent printing, my savings, and a lot of hard work! It’s the one and only ‘printed’ part of TFM and is a forever keepsake. ❤️
The zine is based on ‘Resistance’ - an eternally relevant theme - and features some powerful extracts from conversations with Sofia Karim, Dáreece J. Walker, Zarina Muhammad, Molly Crabapple, and Daria Khan.
I am putting the remaining copies of the zine on a Clearance Sale till May end. It’s available in India for INR 400/- (includes India Post charges). All you have to do is DM me here or on my personal Instagram to place your order. You can pay through GPay or bank transfer.
If you are based in another country and want to buy a copy of the zine, please DM me and I will share the details. - Payal @thefloatingbed
#ClosingTFM
SIX YEARS! What started as a passion (and frustration with the work I was doing) project transformed into a publication that has received such unexpected warmth and love. However, for many reasons, it’s now time for me to say goodbye to The Floating Magazine.
It’s a bittersweet ending, of course. While it’s a heartbreaking decision to ‘officially’ close the magazine, I am really happy with everything I have been able to create on this platform in the last six years. It’s been such a HUGE part of my life and my identity.
I stopped counting after 100, but there are more than 100 free-flowing, in-depth, inspiring conversations with visual artists from countries including India, Pakistan, the UK, the US, Lebanon, Iran, Bangladesh, Turkey, Singapore, Japan, China, Chile, Poland and many more. They will remain as an archive on the internet, hopefully forever!
Over the next few weeks, I will take you through some of my experiences, memorable moments, and more highlights of TFM, with some surprises along the way. Stay tuned. - Payal @thefloatingbed

Meet Anna Rabko - a graphic designer and illustrator based in Poland. She employs vivid colours and surrealism in her work. She studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Cracow, Poland. After that, she continued her education in Kathmandu, Nepal where she learnt the traditional Thangka form of painting. This was followed by studying different forms of art in New Delhi, India. @happytoborders
We had an in-depth chat with Anna about her life and work. Now live on thefloatingmagazine.com
