Meet our alumni editor for issue number 14’s, special section, Voices! Andrew Analore lives and writes on the isthmus of Madison, Wisconsin. His poems have appeared in Technology of the Sun, Stolen Island Review, South 85 Review, Sheila-Na-Gig, Miniskirt Magazine, Spitball Magazine, Lakeshore Review, New Plains Review and other journals. We welcome Nathan Spoon Âû as Jelly Bucket's guest editor for issue 14's special section, Neurodivergent Voices.
Nathan Spoon is an autistic poet with learning disabilities. The author of The Importance of Being Feeble-Minded (Nine Mile Books, 2023), his poems and essays appear in Academy of American Poets Poem-a-Day, American Poetry Review, Bennington Review, Gulf Coast, Poetry, Poetry Daily, The Southern Review, and swamp pink, as well as the anthologies The American Sonnet: An Anthology of Poems and Essays, How to Love the World: Poems of Gratitude and Hope, Mid/South Sonnets: A Belle Point Press Anthology, and The Wonder of Small Things: Poems of Peace and Renewal. He is editor of Queerly and an ally of timemedicine.org.

Our Story

Poetry: Please send us one to five poems. All poems should be in a single document. Each poem should begin on a new page. Format poems on the page as you would have them printed.

Creative Nonfiction: We welcome nonfiction pieces of up to 5,000 words. For short nonfiction (1,000 words or less), up to three pieces may be included in one submission (one document). Please double-space all entries.

Fiction: We welcome fiction pieces of up to 5,000 words. For short fiction (1,000 words or less), up to three pieces may be included in one submission (one document). Please double-space all entries.

Text-as-Art: Each issue features a text-as-art color insert. We are looking for any art that incorporates words or books in a lovely and creative way. We are also seeking altered book pages! Please submit up to 10 pieces of art in a single file. If we decide to use your work, we will contact you for higher resolution images.
