Small businesses are special.

They're the ones sponsoring youth sports teams, hosting food and toy drives for those in need, remembering your name and coffee order, and watching your kids grow with each visit—doing things only a small business relationship can do.

Today and every day, we can make the choice to purchase from local businesses and thank them for investing their dream in our community.

Many businesses are struggling right now, and if this holiday season doesn't go well, they may not survive into 2026.
Shopping small matters. It truly does.

I still can't get over the number of people I saw using a digital camera again this summer while I was in NYC.
(Talk about a core memory)

I'm feeling a shift back toward an analog kind of life- are thrifted working digital cameras the 'it' gift of 2025?

Transferring photos and videos from a point-and-shoot camera to a phone is a drag. This cheap memory card adapter makes it a breeze.

Social media law states that if the northern lights are predicted in your area you must post a video or photo of said northern lights.

Same goes for snow before Christmas and the photo of your car thermometer when it is below zero.

This is one of the scariest thing you could ever say to a Social Media person.

Because it shows you don't know what you're talking about.

Simply having personal social accounts doesn't make you an expert.

It's fine to offer feedback, but in the end you need to trust and value the expertise of an experienced social media manager.

Micromanaging social only hurts your efforts.
