Nearly 40 per cent of digital media spend, or more than $54 million, was wasted by Australian brands pursuing advertising campaigns between July and September this year, told by the Next & Co Digital Media Wastage Report.
Topping the list of the worst digital channels for wastage was Facebook ($25 million), followed by Google ($20m), Bing ($8m) and LinkedIn ($4 million).

Instagram is testing this change in select countries based on community feedback who wish to see fewer feed posts in stories. This may also affect users wanting to support other businesses or accounts by sharing their posts to stories.

Social media platforms will always continue to shift and update, and it’s a reminder for your marketing strategy to also be adaptable with it. If your current strategy is seemingly performing worse, it’s not what your target audience want. Go back to the drawing board and share meaningful content.

The story
It all started as a dream to become something more than just an employee in a family business. I unbuckled my seat belt, opened the passenger door and jumped out into the world only to be met by the hard pavement. It’s not easy being without full time pay and trying to live a normal life. Luckily i had my wits about me, i decided to go educate myself further in the digital marketing world. Coming from a sales and marketing background with understandings of how to best capture people’s attention i was able to quickly adapt to the teachings of the courses i put myself through; courses from the likes of people who have successfully built million dollar businesses and decided to teach their formulas of success. Once i had the knowledge to tackle my first meeting i began my research. I soon learnt that businesses are time poor and sick of mainstream marketing agencies- this became my niche.
Fast forward to now and I have built a team of marketing wizards who have plenty of experience in driving money to businesses. I have built my business to become the lead generation specialist in helping businesses acquire an abundance of new clients through specialised Facebook/Instagram Marketing.
