Regardless of your political leanings, may our Nation see success, peace, solice, prosperity and the means to be that guiding light on the hill.

We are a single Nation for all.

Amen.

A vote for the next four year term can have impact on the next two generations beyond Gen Alpha.

Translation....beyond 2050.

How important is that to you?

On Saturday I will complete my 74th revolution of the Sun.

Time sure flies especially when one thinks about starting the 75th revolution, 3/4 of a century.

Many of my peers and loved ones never saw this benchmark.

But, without family, friends, classmates, colleagues; this ride would not have ever made my life what it turned out to be.

I accept the highs, lows and the in betweens.

But without you all, it would not have been the experience it has been.

So, thank you for reading my silly, sad, funny, sometimes dumb, philosophical and hopefully non partisan posts.

Most everyone remembers 'Pavlov's Theory' of the dog that salavated upon hearing a bell, assuming that a treat would follow. It is called 'Conditioned Response'.

We all realize that a parrot can be trained to replicate what a trainer repeatedly says to it over and over for an extended period of time.

Now three questions for the readers of this post.

Can humans react to repeated phrases to a point they believe it is truth even if it is false?

About that parrot; does it even understand what it is repeating over and over and over?

Is propaganda addictive, regardless of the source of origination?

It is time for hope; the world brings hope to Paris. e world's youths can unite us in hope!

Strife, hate, and lies kills the desire to hope. Can we be civilized without hope programmed into our internal GPS?

Find your own reckoning...

Revelations surface when motion stops and fear prevails.

Distorted reality awakens the masses from silence, gossip, and propaganda.

History proves that truth reemerges when the silent speak out across the political spectrum.

Hope exists; find it.

I was just informed that today is....

National Let's Laugh Day!!!

Seems like a good idea to me, especially right now!

How about we all laugh and make it contagious?

Will you join me?

Say yes, please!

Another post (long) from the heart.

Thinking about the High School Days...

Back in the day, people were civil and respectful to each other.

Patriotism was measured by honoring the Constitution.

Time was measured in years, months and weeks; not minutes and seconds.

There were respected newspapers and 3 TV networks with trusted people of principals as anchors.

Our language and choice of words was appropriate for the audience.

Cars could be paid for in 3 to 4 years.

Parents and elders were respected and honored for their contributions.

Schools taught us not just English, math history / civics....but basic living and responsibility. Teachers were mentors: not forced to baby sit or hoodlum watch.

That is what I remember of our days that seem such a short time ago.

I miss the warmth and security of those days.

There were social challenges, of course, and it wasn't always peppermint, crimson or clover.

We faced the challenges of good vs bad; just like our ancestors.

Our international enemies were well understood and partisan politics stopped at our shoreline.

High School was just a bunch of long days ago and I sure miss the innocent times and the thinking of all the adventures ahead.

The rearview mirror is now 20/20; looking out over the hood is not so clear anymore.

Sure miss seeing you all in the halls between classes....
