London’s own ELLES returns to Naive with “Anthem”, the first single from her forthcoming debut album “A Celebration Of The Euphoria Of Life” (NAIVE017) - which is also the first LP on naive and marks the 5th anniversary of the Lisbon label.

Written as a love letter to clubbing and its continuum of blissful resistance, the lyrics in “Anthem” take us through impressionist scenes of club abandonment and the emotive remembrance of the "past ones". Glacial synths, vast open space and dreamy vocal detailing make for the perfect backdrop for serotonin-glazed ecstatic pianos and slick house rhythms to come in and lift the song to its anthemic promise. A whirlwind of feel-good house music with indie leanings, “Anthem” will hit you like a Kylie pop dance smash produced by Luomo circa “The Present Lover”.

In the artist's own words. 'ANTHEM is a track about details that linger and visions in the smoke and strobe. It’s about healing, finding hope and the space that music and clubs can provide for processing it all. A standard bearer for the major themes of the album and a love letter to friends, lovers and anyone who has been lost & found in the dance.'

The accompanying videoclip, shot by Portuguese director Bruno Gonçalves, features entrancing images of ELLES herself and Dipsy - a Brazilian dancer and visual artist who is a key figure in Lisbon's underground q***r scene - losing themselves solo in industrial, club and house party settings.
