in honor of my last New Orleans vlog going live today, I wanted to share some of my fav pics that I never showed ya!!😍 Instagram only lets me post 10 so here they are:
1- lauren living her best life on a streetcar on her way to get champagne and oysters
2 - selfie at the the hotel where my mom + dad got married and where and I celebrated 1 yr ❤️
3 - the most amazing crawfish we’ve ever had at a hole in the wall spot, agrees.
4 - Matt’s 30th bday had to end at for some fresh beignets. As soon as we got in line, someone came out & told us they ran out beignets for the night so Matt befriended this nice employee and he ran inside and got us the last bag 😂 true story. ALSO who else has heard of the N’awlins Bday Pin the Dollar Bill on your shirt thing?!
5 - I finally got to hug my long time subscriber turned patreon moderator turned friend Carly!!🥺 thx for showing us a night I’ll never forget!!

I am struggling. I have no idea what I’ve been doing these last two weeks. Every day has blurred together. It’s been 13 days since my dad was taken from me and I have no idea how to “get back to my life” or even how to fake it. I find myself wondering if this would be easier to deal with if I had a regular 9-5 job that I could just bury myself in for a distraction. If my income didn’t depend on me “being on” all the time. Which, don’t get me wrong, I love my job and what I’ve created. But right now I’d love more than anything to have a big pile of someone else’s problems to dig through.⁣
⁣
I don’t know how to do this, how to try being normal again. How to post to Instagram or YouTube again without addressing this painful cloud hanging over me. I really do enjoy consuming and creating content on social media, I love it and it makes me happy. It’s also been an amazing little escape for me when I’ve needed it lately. I’ve had 1 or 2 moments recently where I’ve wanted to post to IG, but then stopped myself because it felt “too soon”⁣

I don’t know the “right way” to grieve, or how to publicly attempt to get back to my life or my job online and pretend to be okay even though I’m still hurting in real life. I don’t know how to be anything but honest in life and on social, but being this honest about something this personal kind of scares me. ⁣
⁣
I have no idea what I’m trying to say other than you never know what’s going on in someone’s life based on what they choose to share on Instagram. Not all of life is happy. But right now I’m gonna try to do what feels good, when it feels good. And sharing these thoughts with you guys feels good for this little moment in time. So I guess bear with me as I try to navigate through this. Love you all 💕 Thanks for being patient and kind with me
