Keady Entrepreneur to offer Sports Massages at 12th July Parade.

A budding Keady Entrepreneur is running a sports massage service in the town to cater for injured and tired orangemen. Having read previous newspaper reports of orangemen enjoying a good rub down, student Paul O'Toole spotted a gap in the market for weary orangemen after a hard day's marching.

Paul will be situated beside the main parade field in Keady from 10am on 12th July. He is also offering a 25% for any elected representatives.

Lolz.......

🗞️ I am deeply disappointed by the disgraceful actions that occurred in the Park Road/King Street area on Friday night.

Just one week after the community proudly installed their traditional Orange arch and decorations, the entire bunting has been removed and stolen. This targeted act of vandalism, clearly sectarian in nature was carried out with the intent to provoke and divide.

The Parkmount Arch committee and local residents invested their own time, energy, and money to prepare for the 12th celebrations. Their efforts reflect pride in tradition and a desire to celebrate culture respectfully.

I want to commend Parkmount L.O.L 127 for their calm and dignified response. As they mark their 135th anniversary actions like this I know strengthen their resolve and determination as opposed to silencing it.

I will be meeting with the PSNI to ensure this is not filed as a minor misdemeanour, but is given the attention it rightly deserves. I also call on all political representatives from the area particularly those who chunter on about tolerance and inclusion to publicly condemn this disgraceful act.

This community will not be intimidated. Their culture will not be erased. And as their MP, I will continue to stand firmly with them.

We thought our eyes were deceiving us. If it isn't Keith "stay out of our town" Ratcliffe marching through Keady.

Only a few weeks ago he was up in arms about outsiders marching through Scarva

“Residents here should not be subjected to displays that are knowingly inflammatory", he said.

We can only assume Keith will be joining with local residents in opposing the 12th of July parade in the quiet, close-knit Nationalist town of Keady. To paraphrase

“Keady is not a canvas for political performance. Residents here should not be subjected to displays that are knowingly inflammatory. People have a right to go about their daily lives without being dragged into conflict"

Parades Commission failed Scarva – public disorder was entirely predictable and avoidable

Statement by TUV party chairman Keith Ratcliffe:

“As I warned in advance, Saturday’s anti-Israeli parade through Scarva was deeply provocative, entirely unnecessary, and now, sadly, has led to the very outcome many of us feared – disorder on our streets and arrests in our community.

“I formally objected to this parade to the Parades Commission and raised serious concerns both in writing and in a telephone call to the police. I made it crystal clear to the Parades Commission that Scarva, a quiet, close-knit Unionist village with deep ties of sympathy and support for Israel, was no place for Palestinian flags and associated political messaging on a Saturday morning.

“And yet, the parade was allowed to proceed unchecked – no conditions, no restrictions and no serious engagement with local concerns. The Commission was warned. The PSNI was informed. And now we have witnessed precisely the breakdown in community relations that this parade was always going to cause.

“Scarva is not a canvas for political performance. Residents here should not be subjected to displays that are knowingly inflammatory. People have a right to go about their daily lives without being dragged into conflict they did not ask for and do not support.

“Let me be clear: this situation was entirely avoidable. The blame lies squarely with those who organised this needlessly provocative display, and with the Parades Commission, who failed in their duty to prevent disorder and protect community cohesion.“
