Anna Smith Higgs has been invited to perform in the Burlesque Hall Of Fame Movers, Shakers and Innovators Showcase in Las Vegas on June 1, 2023. Wow! It's the most famous, prestigious burlesque event in the world. Performing at the BHOF would be a dream come true for Anna and she is thrilled to have this chance. See a video of her performance: https://gofund.me/1c9a61d5 Anna suffered a devastating stroke at the age of 24, one month after giving birth to her son. The stroke left her with a paralyzed right arm, partial sight in both eyes and she was told she would never walk again. Through sheer determination she proved the doctors wrong. After her stroke, Anna was severely depressed for two years, but finally decided life was for living, got out of bed and started trying new things. Anna discovered burlesque and has never looked back. Anna is being featured in our upcoming documentary, Learning to Be Naked -Healing Through Burlesque. We will be following Anna’s experience in Las Vegas as part of the film.
