➡️How can someone invest to work with you if they don’t know what you offer?

It’s not enough to be good at what you do; you must let the world know what you can offer.

❓When was the last time you posted about your offer?

I know that in order to help serve more people with their social media woes, my number one job is to be VISIBLE so that they even know I exist to help them.📳 I notice a direct correlation to how often I share about my services and the number of sales I receive.

🔑Make it EASY for people to understand how you can support them.

By consistently sharing valuable content, tips, and insights, you position yourself as an authority in your field, making it easier for potential clients or collaborators to find you.

In addition, aim to share about your services or offerings at least 3-4x/week between stories and posts.

→ Like it or not.

Chances are your stomach fills with dread just thinking about being salesy or talking about your offers on social media, so today, I want to share with you 3 non-pushy marketing tips for health practitioners to connect with their future clients.

1️⃣ Think about your clients’ desired emotions.

➝ Maybe they want to feel energized;
➝ Maybe they want peace of mind;
➝ Maybe they want feel good in their bodies;
➝ Maybe they want to feel confident;

Keep in mind that the product or service you sell is simply the road map to help TRANSFORM someone’s life to achieve these emotions.

📍 Create content that generates these emotions, not only the features of your product/service. Use phrases like: Imagine if… or Think about 6 months from now…

2️⃣ Think about: Who’s it for?

You can’t target everyone, it’s not possible to connect with everyone’s hopes and dreams.

So, think of your ideal client, and get to know what they dream of, their beliefs, what they want.

3️⃣ Think about the stories

Based on evolution we all love stories!

How do you feel when you watch a good movie or that addicting TV show?

A good story not only grabs attention, but also connects people.

We all love stories, so if you can tell a client story, or how your story relates to who you are helping or how you ended up doing this. That is powerful and moving.

Social media = the ultimate game of persuasion.

Persuasion is rooted in human psychology and once you understand humans, you understand the formula in how to convert your following into clients.

Let’s break it down!⤵️

In order for someone to hand you their credit card, you need to make them to believe in 3️⃣ key things:

⓵ That YOU are the person that can help them❗️
They need to see you as the expert, they need to trust you.

💡 Share actionable valuable tips that they can easily implement.
💡 Share that you understand their desires / unique problems.
🧠 Make them think: “WOW, this practitioner knows so much and they truly understand what I’m goin through! This is the person to help me finally resolve my health issues.”

⓶ That the SERVICE/PRODUCT can help them❗️
Even if they like you as a person, they need to know that you can help them get results through using your product or service.

💡 Share how your product is different than the others + testimonials
💡 Share both the features AND benefits of the product/service
🧠 Make them think: “WOW, all the other things I tried did not offer that! This one can work…”

⓷ That THEY can get results❗️

⛔️This is the most important belief, because often, you’re not the first person they’re turning to for help. Often it’s after many failed attempts: anything from a DIY diet they tried or spending $$$$ seeing another practitioner. With many small and big failed attempts, their self-confidence to follow through / achieve results may be low.

So even if they believe in you and your product, they must believe that THEY can follow through with the action steps (aka self-confidence) ⛔️

They also need to see that you understand them & their fears;

💡 Share sentences like “even if...”, for example: even if you have tried a bazillion diets before... here’s why ____  is different
🧠 Make them think: “They know exactly my common pitfalls… with a plan to overcome those, I can do this!”

💬“I don’t want to film/post my workout. I get so little “me time”, that my workout is sacred to me. I want to use it to decompress, not work.”
💬“I don’t want my kids/partner to be exposed to my following.”

🙋🏻‍♀️Raise your hand if any of those thoughts or similar thoughts have crossed your mind whenever a coach or someone tells you that you need to “be authentic” and share more of your life online…in order to be more successful?

Let’s ditch that narrative because:
a) it’s not true
b) it’s healthy to have boundaries w/ social media
c) everyone has a filter of what they share / don’t share
d) it can prevent you from sharing anything from fear of being “inauthentic”

➡️I personally am a very private, introverted person. What you see IS a filtered version of my life, AND I am authentic in what I share.⬅️

💥The reasoning behind “being authentic” is to create a more engaged audience using the “like-know-trust” factor. However, you don’t need to share every single detail of your personal life to activate that principle.

📌Instead, what you need to define is your authenticity filter.📌

Create your filter in what image you want to project to your following.

YES I know that sounds not like authenticity...

However, you can project a certain image while maintaining authenticity and integrity.

Questions to ask yourself:
❓Do you want to share your kids or family?
❓What “buckets” of your life are you okay sharing? (ex: workouts, food, behind the scenes of office life, etc)
❓Do you want to share struggles / vulnerabilities?

Examples on how to build connection while sharing nothing about your personal life:
📲Host / answer Q&A’s
📲Hop on video and share educational tips on a particular health topic.
📲Engage in DM’s / comments as YOU.

An example of what IS inauthentic:
❌If you struggle with a particular area of your health still…. Don’t share that you have it all together in that area
➡︎ Choose NOT to share anything about that subject
➡︎ Share that you are still on a journey to resolving it

Ask me how I know this? 😉

Over the last 7+ years of being a full time content creator for health practitioners, I’ve realized the times when I’ve struggled the most with “writer’s block” is when my own mind was working against me.

Common thoughts that are behind “writer’s block”
💭“What if this post flops?”
💭“What if someone takes what I’m saying the wrong way?”
💭“I wish I could write like ____.”
💭“I just love ____’s content. I wish my content looked / sounded like that.”
💭“____ has already posted about this. I can’t write on the same topic.”
💭“Maybe I should research this topic more before I write.”

Relate? If so, here are some tips that can help you overcome writer’s block:

✅You don’t have to have the perfect draft on the first go. Jot down ideas of what you want to include in the post and then you can reorganize / format later.

✅Before creating content, start by writing something else that has nothing to do with your business or health. I like to do a free-flow braindump for 5-10 minutes to get into the flow.

✅Limit yourself to only 1-2 revisions before posting. Good enough is better than never posting.

✅Remember: each topic has already been talked about thousands of times... The reason people are following you is not because you’re talking about 100% original topics all the time (that would be impossible). They are following you because of YOU and your perspective on that topic.

✅Feel like you’re not good at creating content? The only way to get better is to practice 😉

✅Create content in a google doc or notes app where it’s easier to see / edit what you are creating. I strongly recommend avoiding writing a caption straight in Instagram.

✅Focus on consistency vs output. Don’t fall into the trap that you have to create a new/original post every day. Reuse. Reuse. Reuse.

✅Write a little every day. Even it's only 15-20 minutes. Writing is a muscle. The longer I go between writing something, the bigger the fear / writer’s block I have. Set a timer and just write, regardless of whether you think it is good enough or not.

Let me ask you a question:

How do you feel when you get a single message from someone asking a health question?

🤩Do you get empowered that you can help someone?
🥳Do you feel excited that your community sees you as the expert on this topic?
😑Do you feel a sense of dread…you want to provide the PERFECT answer, so you know you need to spend the next 2 hours perfecting a lengthy response?
😩Do you get overwhelmed…because it’s just one more thing for you to do?

Now imagine if you were getting…

🚀20+ messages / day…
🚀10-100 comments / day…

How does your body react to that?

Everyone says they want more engagement, but fail to think about or imagine what MORE engagement actually means.

For example, one of my top management clients who has 100,000+ followers can receive up to double of the above example depending on the types of content we are sharing.

More engagement comes with:
📌 Responsibility
📌 Time
📌 Commitment

If you felt a sense of dread or overwhelm (or any negative emotion!) when thinking about an influx of comments and DMs on your posts it could be that you need to work on:

✅ Creating stronger boundaries about what you will / will not engage with
✅ Having an action plan for spammy / negative comments
✅ Implementing systems to streamline the process of answering DMs / Comments
✅ Finding support to help you manage your account

For the past 6+ years, I’ve been supporting practitioners, by helping them get their voice heard on social media so that they can fill their practices with highly aligned clients.

🎓Educational Degree(s): Health & Human Performance w/ a minor in Psychology, Functional Medicine Coaching Academy (FMCA) Certification (Soon I’ll be certified in RRT - a brain reprogramming technique!)
📍 Where I live: Florianopolis, Brazil with my dog Nico, and my cat Mia (originally from Colorado!)

💻Something I’m grateful for right now: Having both time & location freedom with my business
☀️Morning or night person: Definitely morning! I can’t stay up past 10 usually 👵🏼
🙈I used to be so SHY that I could hardly talk to anyone. In fact, when I started my social media business it took me almost 6 months before I created my own account because I didn’t want to “put myself out there.”
🇺🇬I did a community health internship in Uganda while in college, and spent two months in a small rural village without electricity or running water.
🎥 Fun fact: I prefer to watch tv/movies with subtitles (even if it’s in English)
🏫I grew up in a small, rural town of only 200 people. My graduating class was 6 including me!
