She knew at an early age that she loved music and actually had musical talent. Emm was convinced that "show biz" is what she wanted to do no matter what. Growing up listening to Al Green, Loretta Lynn, Candi Staton, Fleetwood Mac, Shirley Caesar, Sam Cooke, Mighty Clouds of Joy, The Great Hawkins Family, Clark Sisters, Bobby Womack, Chaka Khan, Phil Collins, Dusty Springfield, Teena Marie, Madonna, Miki Howard, Lisa Stansfield, Tupac Shakur, & Jay-Z to name a few and lots of 80's music, She developed a love for many types and styles of music. She started out singing in church as many, mostly singing lead in her church choirs. Her first taste of musical success was when she, her mother, and younger sister formed a Gospel group and sang at different churches for a few years until the early 90's. Never forgetting her love for secular music, she sang back up for Bobby Hinton and the Shades of Blue in the mid & late 90's, which enabled her to create a buzz. That prompted her to go solo being that she could hold her own and writes ALL her own material! Migrating to Virginia in 1999, she met and worked religiously with producer/arranger/engineer Jayson Martin of JM Productions which produced songs like "If The Loving's Nice", "You Never Miss Your Well", and "This Morning", one of her personal favorites. Since moving to Atlanta in 2000, Emm has worked with K-Swab of Onfiya Music Group, Bonecrusher, and Russell "Scrubaby" Moore of Scrubaby Productions who produced her latest singles, "Focus" and "I Used To Be". Also she's featured with hip hop artist S***k the Great, singing hooks his on minor hits, "Freeze" & "Porchtalk" and also featuring in his video "Straight Up Hottie". Emm has worked with DuJuan Hammonds (Playtown USA), DeJuan Boyd (Rabbitt Production), Anthony "Pe$o" Walton, Most Valuable Mac, & CrowtheBest...Entertaining has always been her passion and she truly enjoys what she does. She will continue to write, record, & perform her music which will touch people everywhere. Creating her own lanes in radio and journalism has enabled her supporters to hear her voice and read her words on various platforms. While Emm always believed in herself, she will forever put God first.
