29 Oct 2023 -- Mt. Cayabu & Mt. Maynuba climb with some waterfalls! 🏞️⛰️
SUPER late post but I just wanted to add this for memory sake. 😁
2nd time climbing both peaks. My last climb was in 2019 (but my mind kept remembering 2017 lol). I did the 1st climb in preparation for a major climb in Mindanao that didn't happen because I ended up getting into a motorcycle accident going to the jump-off point. 😬
Well, it's really great that I get to do a "revenge climb" safely. Really glad we pulled more people to climb with us this time. Hooraaaaay!
Also, slide through the photos to see the magnificent waterfalls in the trail! Uggggh! Can't believe this beauty is just in Rizal too!
P.S. Some photos I grabbed from 📸. Thanks! I also want to shoutout Courier for their very sturdy shorts! Kinaya po ang climb without a problem. Thanks! 🫶
Hoping we have MORE SPACES that PEOPLE and can move properly around Metro Manila every day.
At least, we get a glimpse of it for a few hours every Sunday morning for the rest of the year. 💕🚲
P.S. Can't believe Ayala Avenue is around 10km from home... With uphills, of course (which is the exercise part of the commute lol).
Nuvali, Laguna = ✅🚴♀️
50km+ from home 👌
Original plan was to do a loop, but I learned the really hard way that your body needs to be a priority first. Call it ego cycling if you will. Lol. Had to go home using P2P and Grab for safety. 😅
Thanks for not leaving me behind (I was told that said he should wait for me so I thank you for this, Cha, because I was fully intending to request to be left behind at the 5km mark). 🙏
Thank you also to the legendary , Joel, JD (sorry, Idk your IG handles yet if you have any!) for your patience! 💕
Will definitely do a revenge padyak and finish a proper loop next time.
Side note: Because I was moving waaaaaay slower for the last 9-10kms, I can remember the path to Nuvali now. So that's good, I suppose? 😂
Mt. Espadang Bato, Rodriguez, Rizal ⛰️
At least for this day, I felt closer to heaven. 💕
I was invited to climb originally to hike to Mt. Sipit Ulang + Payaran Falls but the weather didn't permit us to do so and the exciting part of the Sipit Ulang trail was closed. 😅
In order to reach the peak of the mountain, we climbed an attached ladder on the other side of the pointy part where I'm sitting. Lol. Nonetheless, the height is a doozy but the view is so magnificent! 😍

For those who are wondering why the heck I decided to climb a mountain a few days after Mama's passing... I cannot exactly answer that with a simple answer. All I know is that I process things by doing something productive (even better if I'm doing something out of the ordinary).
I suppose this is my metaphorical way of meeting Mama halfway to Heaven. I don't know... 😅
26.08.2023 - FREE BIKING LESSONS IN ORTIGAS C/O Bicycle Friendly Philippines 🚲💖
This day was my full circle moment/day. 💕
Last February 2022, I was the one who was taught how to ride a bike. During this day, not only was I able to teach a good friend of mine how to ride a bike, but I met and had a blast with other amazing cyclists like Courier, Tita Karen, Aneka, Space Racer PH. Admittedly, I was also in fangirling mode also! 😁😍
I am very grateful to have been given a chance to pay forward the love for cycling through this opportunity. Super glad I did this, and would mostly likely do it again. Until the next one! 🥰
Lucky that I found out that just lived nearby and ordered 's famous brownies. Thank you also for accommodating my request to make your Calaginger Tea hot instead of the usual cold variant since I am not feeling well 😭Saraaaap!
Tapos may special personal delivery pa ni Jay! Nice seeing you kahit nakamask ako. Ganda talaga ng bike mo! 💖🚀
Someone wandered off again 🙈🙈🙈

✨ PICKUP COFFEE
✨ Little Tokyo Makati
Snapshots of our all-girls bike ride destination in Taytay, Rizal called Café 0110! 😍
Very delicious Japanese food selection and coffee. We didn't even expect that their California Maki and Donburi bowls would be so full. Definitely going back! 😁
🍲 Japanese food with coffee and some tea selections. Sushi is a must-try!
✨ Ambience is very cozy. Al fresco dining outside an actual house, and the garden area. Dining space is not that big, but the vibe is so chill.
🅿️ Spacious parking that we can easily park our bikes. No dedicated bike racks but we were able to lock our bikes at their park tent.
Feeling tourist although I live just a town away from the beautiful Taytay, Rizal. ✨
Thank you for taking us around your turf ! 😍

November 26, 2022: The crazy Metro Manila century ride! Yes, 100km! This share is just a preview. 🤩
Cainta - Taytay - C6 - Taguig - Bicutan - Sucat - Alabang - Las Piñas - Parañaque - Pasay - Manila - Quezon City - Marikina - Pasig in one day/ride on (very) chill pace. Wooooo! 💪
I didn't even think this was possible for me less than a year into cycling around Metro Manila because if you knew my back story, I just learned how to ride a bike a few days before February 2022 ended. Yes, this year lang po iyon! Crazy, right?! 🤯
Ang dami rin naming nadiscover na pockets of beauty in between this ride. Nakakawala ng pagod. 💜😀
Still processing the whole experience up to now but doing this particular century ride made me realize how us bikers are in dire need of proper respect on the road. Heck, all drivers need proper road conditions around the metro. It's insane how I need to treat Metro Manila as a trail (uphills with moon craters, anyone? Lol)
On a cheery note, this one is definitely one for the books! Ang saya palang makita iyong mga arcs from one place to the next. Para silang mini-goal posts for me during the ride. Kita mo agad na umusad ka and then mafefeel mo iyong good chemicals in your brain fire up. Lol 😂
The slow increments in distances almost week after week since I started riding a bike immensely helped me learn how to manage/sustain my energy for sure. Nasasanay at natututo ang katawan after rides and recovery, kaya naging fun ang ride na ito. Recovery days are sacred to us! 💖
Hindi kami nagmadali (as in nagchikan pa kami ni during our 50km break lololol) and ang daming naging editing sa routes along the way kasi may surprise one-way routes na pala or magcliclick na lang sa navigator brain mo na may mas sensible na path pala... Parang life? Chaaaar! 😛
So, yeah..! I have no words! Very grateful for this century ride. More century rides to come! Saan tayo next? 😍
What a weekend?! 😱 😱 😱
WARNING: Long and cheesy caption ahead. 😂
Nov 12 2022: Accidentally saw and met the wonderful Manila Bike Commuter on the road in the midst of a backpack issue. 😂
Nov 13 2022: Finally joined a community ride courtesy of Firefly Brigade's ReCycle: The 22nd Tour of the Fireflies and finally met Fat Biker Babe after sooooo loooong (I swear, we need a more chill ride ulit soon! 😍)
I feel so happy and light this weekend because knowing that I made a difference to the people I met ever since I started with my cycling journey last Feb 2022 has brought joy to me as well.
Started this year not being able to pedal. Heck, I didn't know how to ride past Valentine's Day. Pangarap ko nga lang ay makarating sa 7-Eleven sa harap ng subdivision namin. I ended up on another (farther) 7-Eleven branch at this point. May na-activate po talaga sa kalooban ko nung natuto akong magbike na parang si Sailormoon kapag nagtratransform kapag may na-encounter na kalaban. May transformation kapag nasa saddle ka na. 😁
It's really just fun to be able to go and meet different people ever since I got the bike(s). I am immensely grateful that the biking community is so welcoming and warm. Thank you! I wouldn't be this "baliw" to ride in the streets of Metro Manila without your imparted knowledge and wisdom! 😍🙏
Hirap din po palang maging model 😂😂😂
Realized it was a challenge to be a model, but here you go. Some shots from when we went to Ayala Triangle because why not? 😂
Not in the post but we also did several jump shots which made me more tired than cycling tbh. 😅
P.S. Loving the Char(mander) Lang dri fit from . Got the biggest one because I have big arms, but smaller body. 😁
Simula ng vlogging era na ba yarn? 😂
Hehehe. Kahit umulan, tara, let's go sa pavideo. Lol. 🤣
Maraming salamat, ! 😍😘
More stuff to come (apparently) yaaaaay! 💖
Ahihihihi! Guess who met new biking friends on a stormy Saturday morning? Walang bagyong nakapigil sa ride na ito. 😉💪
For now, like always, I'll just dump some shots from my phone because I tend to forget where I end up most of time. 😂😂😂
Super fun meeting new biking friends. Sobrang dami kong natututunan sa inyo. Salamat din sa magandang budol na bike cap (at may isa ka pang pa budol e!) 😍
Really grateful for the invite, ! Tara na sa next budol ride natin. 🚲💖

Visited @heya_jacy's turf once again and this time we brought @mandsmonts with us! Since it was a Black Saturday, not all food spots were open but at least @thebangcafe_ is open. Hooray! Definitely not the last time we are visiting Taytay 💖 P. S. I realized that we don't have photos and videos of us 4 together in Bang Café with me huuuuu 😭. Next time! #bikekada #snappedbyalexis #womenonbikes #womencycling #bikeride #womenonbicycles #taytay #bikinglife
February 26, 2022 at BGC. Never underestimate the power of manifestation and focused efforts! 🌟 This is a hodgepodge of a video clip of me almost bumping into a kid (!) because I just really learned how to pedal on a bike after 4++ hours of trying. I came from a family that didn't really see cycling as a form of transportation especially for women. Masisira raw ang legs ko or baka sumakit ang you-know-what (lol). They were not wrong. But so what? 😏😁 After a year of cycling, and 100km++ of going around Metro Manila, I couldn't be more prouder with myself for making a decision FOR ME. Cycling has opened possibilities (and still opening more!) for me as a person and as a woman. For those people who know my story, after that day, masaya na talaga akong makabike hanggang gate ng subdivision namin. 1 did that a week after purchasing my own bike last April 2022. Kung kinaya ng millennial tita na ito, kaya mo rin, dear! 💕 If ikaw iyong tipong naghahanap ng signs kung magbibike ka ba o hindi, eto na. One padyak at a time. Let's go! 😍 --- Thank you NBO for being my biking teacher last year! Thank you also sa Bike-kada for fueling this passion, and for the welcoming biking community. Really itching to meet more people from the community! ❤️✨ #SnappedbyAlexis #womencycling #padyakpamore #bicyclelife
