Your ear is uniquely shaped, impacting the way that sound travels to your eardrum.

For this reason, when we fit you with hearing aids, we need to measure the sound that's reaching your eardrum and verify that you're hearing at your prescribed volume based on your hearing loss.

We do this using a test called "real ear measurement", where we put a small probe tube that's attached to a microphone deep into your ear while you're wearing your hearing aids, and play calibrated sounds to measure the levels at your eardrum.

Then we fine-tune the hearing aid output until the sound you're actually hearing matches your prescription.

Unfortunately, nearly 70% of hearing professionals DON'T routinely do this test, leading to people purchasing expensive hearing aids without receiving their full benefit.
