As it happens, our last season on Superior has proven to be very short. Saros has been sold already. She went to Superior Charters, so will be available to rent some time soon if you're interested. Steffan has a habit of using little tags on all the engine consumables with their service dates. Charter company maintenance thought he must be a pilot, which puffed up his ego a bit.

The old saw about the two best days in a boat owners life have not proven true for us. We had so many great adventures with Saros in the short four years we had her. As our freshwater "training wheels" boat, we planned on the sale this year anyway, but it's still a bit sad. But now we can focus on our relocation to Costa Rica and acquiring our tropical cruising boat in a few years.

After a pit-stop in Minneapolis to visit with Jackie and our friends Neil and Liz we're settled in for the summer in Washburn, WI. Ten minutes from the marina... looking forward to our last season on the greatest lake - Superior!

Time for some reptiles.

First up a non-venomous neotropical bird eating snake (Phrynonax Poecilonotus). This is from last week but just now had it identified.

And from today a Common Basilisk (Jesus Christ) Lizard.

As a follow up to yesterdays toucans we were treated to a troop of monkeys this evening. These are probably the loud AF howlers we hear each morning around dawn who drop stuff on the metal roofs as they browse.
