HUGE shoutout to Hans Addleman and the entire Addleman family for just killing it this weekend for Extra Life! They did 24 hours of gaming between Saturday and Sunday, skyrocketing our team fundraising total to $4,405, putting us incredibly close to our $6,000 goal.
Hans will tell you that it's because he's got amazing friends and family (which I am absolutely sure is true) but I also know that their entire family being amazing people is also a massive part of it!
This $4,405 means that since 2017 the Byte Me Team has raised $31,100.09 for Extra Life and Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. Not bad for a bunch of nerds. :)
The rest of the Byte Me crew will be live streaming and fundraising the weekend of Nov 4th and we are going to CRUSH that $6k goal!

Over the years we've had a lot of folks step and make a huge impact on our Extra Life campaign for that year, but one person has stood out year after year - our good friend and sometimes co-host Hans Addleman!
Hans was recognized by Extra Life this year for earning the extremely rare $10,000 challenge coin, a reward only given out to elite Extra Life fundraisers who have raised more than $10k. That means that of the just over $23,000 Byte Me has raised for Extra Life, almost half of that amount came from Hans (and his amazing family that supports him!)

When we first started the Byte Me Podcast back in 2016, one of the things we wanted to do was figure out a way to use our reach to help folks who needed it. We've been involved with Extra Life every year since then and have raised $22,935 for sick kids in Children's Miracle Network Hospitals since 2016.
