Funniest s**t ever heard on a podcast. Someone wrote in and asked Trance legend, AVB regarding a suggested song for a wedding. His co-host actually said “Sound of goodbye” which is a song about divorce. You can’t make this s**t up. Listen for yourselves:-

Over the years, I’ve watched countless “Company Got Talent” shows. I could count using the fingers of one hand on how many were above average but there was one that really stood out.
I remember that day as I was strolling into the ballroom and my phone rang just before I pushed open the door. I stood outside and answered the call. As the person on the other line spoke, I could hear the rehearsals going on. Wow! Someone is attempting a duet song from the Phantom of The Opera. When I finally entered, the rehearsals had ended but I didn’t see who they were.
When it was the time for the performance, I was eyeing for who the brave souls are (Especially since the female part was originally sung by soprano Sarah Brightman). All I see was one participant, a male. He adjusted his notes up seamlessly to cover the female parts of the song. Not up to Sarah’s level (not far off though) but remarkable enough for me to applaud with much appreciation for an eye opening and jaw dropping performance. Thank you Nick!

Most music related performers, (Example: singers, band members, producers, DJs) the longer we work, we might develop a deeper sense and feelings into the music as we progress. I’ve always asked myself a question “Can we ever sink our feelings into the song but yet keep ourselves detached from it during a performance?”. The answer was a clear NO as I once saw how a singer on stage, burst uncontrollably into tears when singing a song request.
A patron came up to me last night and told me that it was his wife’s passing away anniversary and if I can do him a favour to dedicate a song to her. Song choice was obvious, one of my all time favourites “Ramelia”. It was a really touching moment when I played the song and seeing him tearing up. He smiled and gave a thumbs up. He came over gave me a $50 tip and we hugged. This was truly a satisfying moment, not because of the tip but knowing I had played a song that truly hit his feelings. The tip also meant that he saw me sobbing as well.

I’ve been contemplating on a tattoo signifying my lifelong support of Liverpool Football Club but the usual 2D logo wasn’t really my cup of tea. Years have passed and I’ve stumbled on an article write up about a stunning tattoo artist. He was the only one in the world who specialized in embroidery styled tattoos. It’s stunning but flying to Brazil for a tattoo wasn’t a viable option. I chanced upon an opportunity to speak with one of the legends in the local tattoo scene, J*p and we had a lengthy discussion about making this a reality with me. I’m probably the first in the world to do this so there were no references that J*p could find anywhere in the web but I accepted that risk. His artwork exceeded my expectations and I’m glad to have put my faith in his good hands.

The truth is, I've been dealing with some health issues, personal matters and trying to take care of myself. On top of that, life has been incredibly busy and demanding lately. Stereotyped deejay lifestyle - Sleep during daytime and only work during the night. That's not me. As an event DJ, I do cover conferences, product/company launches, summits etc as well. Sometimes, call time (reporting time) can be as early as 5.30am.
