Moses died today as we wrapped up reading the Torah (the first 5 books of the Bible aka the Pentateuch).It seems like a harsh punishment for him not to be allowed to enter the Promise Land after 40 years in the Wilderness, right? But then I chose to remember the most unfair sacrifice ever of the One who knew no sin and became sin for you and I. Thank you, Lord for your amazing grace that spares me from what I do deserve. Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus! 🤍

This is it. As parents, no decision our son makes matters more. This is what we prayed for even before he existed, that he’d chose to follow Jesus. Our hearts overflow with gratitude! 🫶🥹

Ash Wednesday is exactly 40 days before Easter not counting Sundays (confusing, I know 🫠 46-6 Sundays= 40days). Sundays are excluded because it’s not considered a day of penance, but rather a day on which we celebrate the Lord's resurrection and His victory over sin and death — a 'little Easter’ if you will. ✨Lent is marked by repentance, fasting, reflection, and ultimately celebration. The 40-day period represents Christ’s time in the wilderness, where he fasted and was tempted. Lent invites believers to set aside a time each year for similar fasting, marking an intentional season of focus on Christ’s life, ministry, sacrifice, and resurrection. 🙌
