Excellent camp for 7th to 11th grade students & you can apply now for a scholarship!

Parents: Encourage your student (7th–11th grade) to apply for this year’s Luminari Award! This scholarship covers the full cost of attending our I Want to be an Ambassador! summer camp – including a trip to Washington, D.C., to meet real diplomats.

Here’s how they can apply:
1️⃣ Write a 1-page essay on their interest in diplomacy
2️⃣ Complete the application form (parent signature required)
3️⃣ Email everything to [email protected] by Feb. 15, 2025 or mail to: Luminari, P.O. Box 81603, Pittsburgh, PA 15217

Awaken your child's natural sense of wild wonder and join Latodami Nature Center for a session of Young Naturalist Summer Camp! For over 50 years, Latodami Nature Center has been conducting this day camp to get kids outside and connected to the natural world. Each day has been set aside for a special study of field, forest, and aquatic eco systems. Outdoor explorations will be combined with special activities to help the children learn more about the plant and animal life frequently found in our area.

We have 4 sessions to choose from!
June 24-26 (ages 9-12)
July 15-17 (ages 13-16)
July 29-31 (ages 9-12)
August 5-7 (ages 13-16)

⏳ The deadline for our 2024 Luminari Award is just 3 weeks away! ⏳

Winners will receive a merit-based scholarship for an all-expense-paid admission to Luminari’s I Want to be an Ambassador! Camp in June 2024.

This camp is a unique opportunity to travel to Washington D.C. where teens will engage first-hand with ambassadors and foreign diplomats. Before departing, our campers will prepare, here in Pittsburgh, with specialized leaders and educators who will teach them the skills necessary to master the art of diplomacy.
