In Emergency situations such as this ( needed to purchase life saving medication) You can trust an UAZ to get the job done.
Crossing the Finish line... Those engines do sound very sweet to the ears. How I wish I had one of those but it won't be fuel efficient in city traffic but it would be one mean off-road machine

UAZ and Starco 💪💪💪😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩
my custom made copper Radiator water tank that holds extra liters of water made way back in 2019 has now experienced a very minor leak on the return hose. After thousands of kilometers daily driving In This heat and numerous temperature extreme expansions on this tank and vibrations from really bad roads. It was bound to give way. I still have my reserve tank so I can have this repaired.
Not a big issue.
With an UAZ, small issues such as these it's not a big problem. You can still drive it efficiently.. Repair is cheap and affordable
I prefer without the bushwackers or simply called fenders made by the company fenders.ru in moderate to extreme offroading. They tend to get ripped when you hit or scrape a bad object such as branch or even a rock. Without them, this allows better road clearances and less chances of breaking off a body panel.
The Patriot or the US version called The Bremach Taos is a refined version of the 469 and or Hunter ( better highway road manners regardless of the road condition)series. Although it is a capable offroader. You will need some modifications to the body in order to adapt to very extreme offroad environments. While the Hunter is the raw, unrefined and ill mannered on bad highway roads. Well built roads are a dream scenario for Hunter owners like me..
If i had a growing family and prefer good safety features. While enjoying the provincial road trips in a refined manner. The Patriot/Bremach is a good choice.
The hunter series are for the old fashioned and old school drivers that feel alive driving a mechanical beast even though the engine choices such as the zmz 409,zmz Pro are modern engines. They still sound old fashioned along with the clunky and noisy transmission by Hundai Dymos to let you experience a similar feel to the old soviet 469 model. Not bad at all.. Just learn to get used to it.
Either way They are built Tough 👍👍👍💪💪💪🤩🤩🤩Just don't forget to maintain them in a strict way for a trouble free adventure daily ride..

Test video shot inside cabin.. Product haters mentioned that it is a piece of 💩💩💩 and 🤮🤮🤮
Times have changed for the 2016-2023 models, with slight cost effective mods the car is quite pleasant to drive around the city, Listen closely to the engine.
Some rusting issues do persist up to this day and some body components need improvement but are not the overall deal breaker. If you appreciate classic utility vehicles and can tolerate some rusting and fix it with a little bit of Do It Yourself Techniques
The body has never changed since 1971-72 What fits in a 469 will fit like a glove on mine.. Only the engine is different But by design Much older engines of the ZmZ line will fit.
The engine is a silent collaboration between ZMZ+Isuzu+ Ford Engineers in their shared Office space. The company is trying to mature by collaborating with the right organizations and skillsets. I am sure they will get it right this time around.
As my mechanic who is used to trucks and European cars. This is one of the simplest but a bit tedious diesel engines and suspension components to strip down. Thanks to large areas to work inside the engine bay with and parts that are large enough.l and easy to identify.
When we rebuilt it, in 2019 and used those stronger aftermarket components, it has been problem free. 20-30km daily driving and in heavy 2-3hr traffic is no problem.
Yes we have heard Horror Stories of terrible breakdowns over at drive2.ru due to the fact Russians abuse their offroad vehicles on a different scale and intensity which off course gave birth to stronger aftermarket engine components.
But for those like me who maintain it strictly and stick to farm roads only. It is just like any typical maintenance of an offroad vehicle.
Due to the international sanctions we are forced to conserve our resources.
We do have a lot spares but it helps to conserve in times like these. Till the situation improves. it is the practical way of enjoying this vehicle ov
Such a priceless memory when your children are a living witness to historical vehicles. no matter how dark the past. They will remember and cherish them.
I grew up around tanks, jeeps, military parades and jets. My father was in the Military and worked on the side as a consultant 1956-1979

A UAZ door can be annoying. The lock mechanism to hold the door is intact but when the door is closed. That is where the fun starts..
l would have to repair this by inserting a thin but highly durable rubber cushion in between the sides of the door locking mechanism so it won't vibrate as much on certain rough roads and cause this type of sound.
Hahaha my door is just a bit rusty on the door extension tips. i have the parts but just a bit lazy to fix it. Since it's not much of a bother yet.
