🗞️ UPDATE | NAPLES

The Florida Highway Patrol has confirmed that a total of seven people have been injured, two critically, following a fatal crash that ended a vehicle pursuit and left one person dead at Logan Blvd N and Vanderbilt Beach Rd in Naples.

At 1:46 PM, FHP troopers located a 2024 Kia sedan on I-75 that had previously fled CCSO deputies and been flagged as a BOLO (Be On The Lookout) vehicle.

The vehicle, being driven by a 25-year-old Miami man, failed to yield to troopers who were attempting to stop it and a pursuit ensued.

At around 1:56 PM, the driver proceeded to flee troopers southbound on Logan Blvd N when he ran a red light at the intersection with Vanderbilt Beach Rd and collided with four other vehicles.

The driver of the Kia sedan and his front seat passenger, a 30-year-old Miami man, sustained critical injuries and were transported to Gulf Coast Medical Center by MedFlight.

The back seat passenger of the Kia sedan, a 24-year-old Miami man, sustained critical injuries before being pronounced dead at Physician's Regional - Pine Ridge.

Four other vehicles, being driven by women aged 18, 42, 46, and 73 from Naples, were all individually driving four other vehicles that sustained minor to heavy damages in the crash.

All four drivers sustained minor injuries and at least three were transported to area hospitals.

Troopers say the driver of the Kia sedan had no driver's license and had a felony warrant out of Miami-Dade county for fleeing and eluding law enforcement.

The reason that CCSO attempted to stop the sedan and issue the BOLO remains unknown at this time.

The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate this crash.

🚨 FATAL CRASH | NAPLES

One person has died and five others have been injured, two seriously, after a vehicle pursuit ended in a crash at Vanderbilt Beach Road and Logan Boulevard N in Naples.

Greater Naples Fire, North Collier Fire and Collier County EMS crews responded to the incident at 1:57 PM Monday afternoon.

Multiple witness accounts say that a white sedan was being actively pursued by troopers down Immokalee Rd before the vehicle turned south on Logan Blvd N.

The vehicle then continued down Logan Blvd N when it entered the intersection at Vanderbilt Beach Rd and caused a multi-vehicle crash.

A total of eight people were involved in the crash.

An approximately 40-year-old man and 20-year-old man both sustained serious injuries meeting "Trauma Alert" criteria and were transported to Gulf Coast Medical Center by MedFlight.

An approximately 20-year-old male, who FHP confirms was the backseat passenger of the suspect vehicle, sustained critical injuries and was transported to Physician's Regional - Pine Ridge and pronounced dead.

Three other people sustained minor injuries, two being transported to NCH North and the third being transported to Physician's Regional - Pine Ridge.

Two additional people reportedly sustained minor injuries but were not transported to the hospital.

All westbound lanes are blocked at the intersection.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.

🚨 VEHICLE CRASH | GOLDEN GATE

No injuries have been reported after an SUV pulling a trailer crashed into the front of a home at 2265 41st Street SW in Golden Gate.

Greater Naples Fire and Collier County EMS crews responded to the incident at 12:27 AM Monday morning.

Although the front of the home sustained some damage fire crews determined the structural integrity of the building was not affected.

Crews are still working to remove the vehicle from the scene.

The Collier County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.

🚨 SHOOTING | LEHIGH ACRES

An investigation is underway after shots were fired towards a duplex at 773 Alabama Road S in Lehigh Acres.

Lehigh Acres Fire crews responded to the incident at 4:12 PM Sunday afternoon.

Their response was promptly cancelled due to the lack of any injuries.

Several deputies and a K9 unit could be seen canvassing the area just before 5:00 PM Sunday.

It is unknown if any suspects have been taken into custody or if the incident was a targeted attack.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office is investigating.

This is a developing story.

🚨 FATAL CRASH | NORTH NAPLES

One person has died after a rollover crash at the 110 mile marker of I-75 SB in North Naples.

North Collier Fire and Collier County EMS crews responded to the incident at 3:46 PM Sunday afternoon.

Fire & EMS radio communications indicate the driver of the van was partially ejected and pronounced dead at the scene at 3:54 PM.

The inside lane of I-75 SB is blocked at this time.

The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating.

🚨 HOUSE FIRE | CAPE CORAL

Multiple residents have been displaced after a fire sparked near the garage of a home at 1418 SE 2nd Street in Cape Coral.

Cape Coral Fire crews responded to the incident at 2:23 AM Sunday morning.

The cause of the fire remains unknown but appears to have originated in the garage.

Firefighters had to use a saw to cut the garage door open in order to extinguish the flames.

All occupants of the home were able to evacuate safely and have since been displaced due to the damages.

The fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature.

The Cape Coral Fire Department is investigating.

🚨 SERIOUS CRASH | FORT MYERS

One person has been seriously injured after a single vehicle crashed into a pole on Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard just east of Benchmark Avenue in Fort Myers.

Fort Myers Fire and Lee County EMS crews responded to the incident at 3:16 AM Sunday morning.

Fire & EMS radio communications indicate an approximately 30-year-old male occupant was declared a “Trauma Alert” and transported by EMS to Gulf Coast Medical Center.

Westbound lanes of Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard are partially blocked.

The Fort Myers Police Department is investigating.

🚨 VEHICLE CRASH | CAPE CORAL

No injuries have been reported after a sedan struck at least two vehicles in front of 3419 Skyline Boulevard just south of Gleason Parkway in Cape Coral.

Cape Coral Fire and Lee County EMS crews responded to the incident at 4:51 PM Saturday afternoon.

The sedan appears to have lost control while traveling northbound on Skyline Blvd when it struck a pickup truck before then crashing into an SUV.

Both vehicles were parked in driveways of duplexes along Skyline Blvd following the crash.

The vehicles appear to have been parked at the time of the incident, but this is unknown.

Rainy conditions were present at the time of the crash and the right lane of Skyline Blvd was closed for about an hour.

All lanes have since reopened.

🚨 MUGGING | FORT MYERS

A man has been transported to a local hospital after he was reportedly mugged and assaulted by multiple attackers at Palm Avenue and MLK Boulevard in Fort Myers.

Fort Myers Fire and Lee County EMS crews responded to the incident at 1:49 AM Saturday morning.

The man was reportedly in the area when the male attackers approached him, telling him to "give them money or else".

After pleading with the attackers, they struck him over the head with a shovel and fled the scene.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that the interaction may have been a drug deal gone wrong.

The victim originally refused medical treatment but requested to be transported to the hospital several hours later.

Several FMPD officers could be seen forming a 2-block perimeter around the scene in an attempt to locate the suspect.

LCSO's K9 unit also responded to the scene.

The Fort Myers Police Department is investigating.

🚨 STABBING | CAPE CORAL

A man has been seriously injured after being stabbed near a field at 1320 Hancock Bridge Parkway in Cape Coral.

Cape Coral Fire and Lee County EMS crews responded to the incident at 1:23 AM Saturday morning.

The approximately 20-year-old male sustained a stab wound to the left side of his ribcage and was transported as a "Trauma Alert" to Gulf Coast Medical Center.

Two pickup trucks were pulled over on the sidewalk and several people could be seen detained by officers at the scene.

The nature of the incident remains unclear.

A man could be seen getting patted down by an officer before being seated in the back of a patrol car, but was later released.

No further details have been made available.

Eastbound lanes of Hancock Bridge Pkwy were closed at NE 12th Ct as of 2:45 AM.

The Cape Coral Police Department is investigating.

🚨 VEHICLE FIRE | FORT MYERS

No injuries have been reported after a vehicle fire ignited in the eastbound lanes of Colonial Boulevard just before Fowler Street in Fort Myers.

Fort Myers Fire crews responded to the incident at 9:25 PM Friday night.

The fire was promptly extinguished within a few minutes and the three occupants who were inside at the time did not sustain injuries.

All eastbound lanes of Colonial Blvd were shut down for about 45 minutes as responders cleaned up the scene.

The fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature.

🚨 VEHICLE CRASH | FORT MYERS

No injuries have been reported after a two vehicle crash sent an SUV barreling towards the entrance of a duplex at 11711 Solano Drive in the Windsong Community in Fort Myers.

South Trail Fire and Lee County EMS crews responded to the incident at 6:36 PM Friday evening.

Initial reports indicate that the SUV and a sedan collided near the residence, causing the SUV to lose control and strike the duplex.

The duplex sustained moderate structural damages to a column in the front patio area and no injuries were reported.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office is investigating.

🚨 VEHICLE CRASH | CAPE CORAL

No injuries have been reported after a woman crashed her sedan into a canal at SW 11th Place and Gleason Parkway in Cape Coral.

Cape Coral Fire and Lee County EMS crews responded to the incident at 5:30 PM Friday afternoon.

The woman and sole occupant of the vehicle appeared to be traveling eastbound on Gleason Pkwy before traveling off the roadway, striking a pedestrian guardrail, and then crashing into the canal.

A bystander we spoke to says his wife alerted him to the crash and he immediately jumped in to help. He alongside two other people jumped into the canal and rescued the woman, who he says was trapped inside.

The woman was able to make it out of the vehicle safely and did not sustain any injuries.

The Cape Coral Police Department is investigating.

🚨 POLICE INCIDENT | CAPE CORAL

The scene has cleared after a SWAT team and over a dozen law enforcement officers swarmed a home along NW 14th Place in Cape Coral.

Cape Coral Fire and Lee County EMS crews staged near the scene at 4:53 PM Thursday afternoon.

CCPD's SWAT team was at the scene for several hours and could be heard yelling commands over a loudspeaker.

A CCPD Public Affairs Officer we spoke to at the scene refused to provide us any information regarding this incident.

The SWAT team's bearcat could be seen parked outside 231 NW 14th Pl after the scene cleared.

It is unknown if any arrests were made or why CCPD was called out to the scene.

🚨 VEHICLE CRASH | FORT MYERS

A woman has been taken into custody after crashing her car into a canal adjacent to the Fowler St entrance of Wawa at 2370 Colonial Boulevard in Fort Myers.

Fort Myers Fire and Lee County EMS crews responded to the incident at 6:43 PM Wednesday evening.

Witnesses to the crash say the vehicle was traveling southbound on Fowler St when it veered off the roadway and crashed into the canal.

The female driver and sole occupant of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries.

She was seen being taken into custody by officers and appeared to be intoxicated.

The scene has since cleared.

The Fort Myers Police Department is investigating.

🚨 HOUSE FIRE | FORT MYERS

No injuries have been reported after fire crews knocked down a garage fire at a home at 3130 Saint Charles Street in Fort Myers.

Fort Myers Fire and Lee County EMS crews responded to the incident at 5:41 AM Wednesday morning.

The incident was originally dispatched as a fire alarm before FMFD Tiller 11 arrived at the scene and observed heavy smoke coming from the eaves of the home.

The call was promptly upgraded to a "Structure Fire" response and crews immediately began attacking the fire that originated from the garage.

The homeowner is a former city councilman, according to a neighbor, and was out of town in Orlando for Christmas when the fire broke out.

The residence appears to be a hoarder home and firefighters can be seen removing large amounts of miscellaneous items from the garage.

No injuries were reported and the cause of the fire is under investigation.

A man has been seriously injured after being stabbed twice in the chest at 10580 Clear Lake Loop in the Lago Del Sol Apartments in Fort Myers.

Iona McGregor Fire and Lee County EMS crews responded to the incident at 5:17 AM Wednesday morning.

The approximately 33-year-old male sustained one stab wound to each side of the chest.

He was transported with serious injuries meeting "Trauma Alert" criteria to Gulf Coast Medical Center.

It is unknown if an arrest has been made in connection to this incident.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office is investigating.

🚨 SHOOTING | PUNTA GORDA

A man has been critically injured after he was shot at a motel at 11603 Tamiami Trail in Punta Gorda.

Charlotte County Sheriff's deputies and Punta Gorda Police officers responded to the incident at around 11:50 PM Tuesday night.

The approximately 50-year-old male sustained a gunshot wound to the chest and was transported by AeroMed helicopter to Gulf Coast Medical Center.

He remains in critical condition at this time.

Initial reports indicate that a suspect has been taken into custody.

The identity of the suspect or the charges they are facing have not yet been made available.

The scene has been surrounded with crime scene tape and several articles of clothing can be seen lying in the grass.

The Charlotte County Sheriff's Office is investigating.
