Grace & Peace to the people that are in the Word. D.L. Hughley posted this not too long ago, and it reminded me of those days when I used to speak at Churches about the importance of nutrition. I’d walk up in the Pulpit, greet the congregation and get right to it. The place was always filled with Scripture quoting members that knew the Bible by heart & once I’d tell them that I too was filled with The Ghost😂, they’d sit up & become super attentive. My message was always about Gluttony - Habitual Greed or excessive eating. Philippians 3:19
Their destiny is destruction, their God is in their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their minds are set on earthly things.
Proverbs 23:2 and put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony.

Calvin comes home from jail but prior to him being released, he hears that Jr.(Ace) is the man on the streets in the Drug Game. When he left to do his bid, this guy was a dirty kid working in the neighborhood Cleaners. In this clip that I’ve chosen, not only did Calvin give him his first tutorial, he also is seen giving the family money for groceries to which they gladly accept. Why wouldn’t this guy expect to be treated better than Ace’s friends Rico & Mitch who never did anything for him when they were hustling? Mitch pulled up to the Cleaners with a brand new convertible Saab & took Ace joyriding. Didn’t Dame pull up with the late great Bob-A-Lob and say,”You need to help your man out back there, he’s doing bad?” Well what did Ace do as soon as he met LuLu The Connect? The ungrateful bastard looked out for the two people next to him but told Calvin,”You Hot”. Now you tell me that you wouldn’t have been right about that. Calvin was called a Kermit The Frog ass looking nigga then had a weed roach thrown at him. Al he said was,”Your man is funny and all that so I’m a step but I’ll see you soon”. Yeah, Yeah I’m sure you that have seen the film will say that Ace gave him a block so he was making money but cmon, dude was basically talking down to him & that’s not the person Calvin expected to be dealing with once they reconnected. Now I’m sure some of you will say that Ace didn’t owe him anything but that family was dead ass broke when he gave Ms. Billups the money for groceries that he had no plan on eating. I’ve always been a fan of Spike Lee’s work & not to mention the fact that he’s from Brooklyn but, he’s from Brooklyn. There are many other prominents* from the town that you’d never know are so for Spike to represent has hard as he does, it serves as sheer inspiration. I had to snatch this piece of him explaining his thoughts on traditional films making & how utterly important being a Writer is. Whatever it is that you do and are doing in life, there’s only one way for you to know the effect that it’s having on others and that’s feedback. The only way to see your nose is to look in the mirror. You’ll never see yourself like someone outside of you can. Everyone has a story to tell because you’ve lived & are still living. My motto has always been, as long as I’ve seen someone else do it, I can do it too. I’m not moved by names or accolades but I am impressed by quality work. I’ve always been a person that can see exactly what’s being said to me(It’s a habit). After being in my house for 4 days straight I began to develop cabin fever. I delayed some very important things that I had to do because two cats that I’d been dealing with got jammed up a week prior, so I was laying low. On this day, I decided that I’d had enough of the walls that I’d been staring at for days & it was time to venture outside. As I walked to where my vehicle was parked, I noticed that there was a unfamiliar car with an even stranger looking individual sitting in the drivers seat parked in front of a neighbors house. I said to myself, damn somebody around here is in trouble as I continued the walk to my car. I get in, start the engine, drive off to the left turn that I made, got to the first stop sign & was about to make another left. Once I did, I saw the same car coming behind me a block away. Being the rear view mirrored driver that I still am, I noticed that not only was this the same car but, I was the one around here that was in a lot of trouble. I hit the gas, took the next available left & gunned it through two stop signs then made a sharp right. Losing them was temporary because they’d never go away until they’re satisfied. Later that evening, I’m in another part of town going to meet a comrade to talk some business. I bust a right turn then park two blocks away from where I’m going & I walk. As I start my trek, I hear tires screeching behind me so I turn around & what do ya know? It’s a different vehicle but the driver pulled up next to my car. I said wow, they’re on me like a fungus but this time, they’re late. Then I thought about it. It’s my phone. I broke that sh*t and threw it in the nearest trash can. The minute that I shared this with two people in-particular, one of them laughed & said that I was paranoid. Years later though, they’d heard that what I was saying was spot on but by that time it was too late, For Them. There are a select few that know why I don’t choose to be in touch with certain individuals

Good evening good people. I was about to pull the trigger on this story when I said to myself, this can be done a little better. I’m going to reshoot this at the scene of the crime for authenticity purposes. What better way to talk about this thing huh? I haven’t been there since the night homeboy was clapped & robbed so that’s what I’m doing. I’m going back there with my camera crew to do it right. We’re actually finishing the Easy Mo Bee edit right now & I’ll shoot that hammer tomorrow. Making enemies means nothing to me because most of the people that have been smiling in your face for years have all been just that.
