Hello guys, I wanted to tell you why I'm away from papercraft. I've been super busy coursing a degree in industrial engineering, so I have no time for papercraft at all. I know that many of you have big expectations about the Antonov 124, but the true is that I haven't made any progress since the last update. I'll be finishing the degree in may next year, so I hope you understand why I'm not active. I'll have some weeks off during december and january and I have a new design almost ready to release, I hope I can finish the new model before mid january. The new design is a collaboration between a dear friend and me, I did the paper model and he made the graphic design. By the way that will be my 10th design.

I keep working in the Antonov 124 project. After the 3D model is done, there is a lot of work until I get the basic white templates. So far I've cleaned junk lines that are exported from Rhino, I've set the layout of all the pieces, added the identification numbers and I think I'm almost ready to start with the glue tabs and then the graphic design. There are 20 pages by today, I will add more pages for the glue tabs later.

When the only Antonov 225 was destroyed, I decided that I had to design it to make a tribute of such a wonderful airplane and I told you about this by then. It was hard for me to get a high quality blueprint of it, however I got a really nice and detailed blueprint for the Antonov 124. I took advantage of that and decided to design the Antonov 124 instead! I was studying both designs and I'm very convinced that the 225 is a modification of the 124, hence designing the 124 first makes more sense, since I can later modify my 124 design to get the Antonov 225 paper model.
Currently, I have very few time to work in papercraft design, the AN-124 3D model was completed many months ago, but I stopped in the unfolding process. I also think that if I work 30 minutes daily I will be able to finish the whole project before the end of the year, so I will appreciate your patience; I usually don't share the progress of my designs because of this, I can stop a project for months, but I will always continue until I finish.

Look at this guys! My friend Jeferson Buitrago -Liverycraft- is learning to design his very own models, a new designer is being born and I'm pretty sure he will make new wonderful designs! He is starting with the Airbus A220.
