Locus Film Detective Skylar Scardino suffers from posttraumatic stress disorder due to a case that went awry and resulted in the death of her partner.

After a year of treatment, she is eager to get back to work and solve the case of a missing college student. However, she also has to battle residual symptoms as well as the doubts of her associates. When the victim’s car is found near the woods, the community gathers in support to search for the missing boy, but the killer is amongst them.
