Hi everyone, my name is Daniele Franz and I form part of Brunswick Sound, a London-based record label aiming to represent and push forward the UK's best underground music. Our label released a compilation recently, and within a few days it surged to the top of Juno Download's Bass Compilation chart. More importantly though, as a third year Lancaster University student, I've realized that nowhere i
n the city or university broadcasts what I believe to be suitable for student ears, and having thought about it carefully over the holidays I intend to change that. Having discovered my love for music listening to radio stations like Rinse, Radar, NTS, Balamii, Deja and Sub to name a few, it's apparent there's nothing really comparable in Lancaster. I intend to create an alternate radio station for students to listen to, broadcasting a wide range of genres on a weekly basis, whilst being interactive with listeners via a Twitter account and a microphone. Any DJs or producers who want to send me some stuff to play, or even get involved with the station, would be more than welcome to; just send me a message on the shift gmail account, linked in the page. The broadcasts will take place using the online radio host "shoutcast", and nearer to the time I'll post statuses with more information to make it easier for people to tune in.
