After covering Colorado for 30+ years, a legend in journalism bids farewell to broadcasting. Jim Benemann leaves a legacy marked by mentorship as meaningful as his storytelling. I remember the day an accomplished anchor took time to sit down with an eager college student inspired to become a journalist. In between copy writing, script reading and pre-show recording, Jim patiently answered all five pages of questions, asked me some of his own and then explained what it would take to get into the TV news business. I'm forever grateful for the guidance that helped me turn that dream into reality. My heartfelt thanks go out to one of Colorado's finest! Tribute tonight at 10 during his last show on CBS Colorado.
