Journalism is way to learn academic skills, teamwork and make school events fun. The team learns a little bit about each other as well as the community, the nation, and the world. News is what we do, and without it, students, staff, and parents would not be informed of all the important events that surrounds us daily. Journalism allows students to explore their surroundings and the surroundings of

other people. As a team, we are determined to write only and always the truth. We are the most reliable source on campus, and anyone who takes this class will feel useful and this creates a family-like environment. Funding this project will help the news team be recognized around campus making our presence known. Our goal as a team is to have shirts that will represent Ukiah High Journalism. With these shirts, we will be recognized as journalists and be able to wear them on days that we distribute our newspapers. It is also something that students will be able to hold onto for the rest of their life as a feeling of accomplishment, teamwork, and recognition.
