Changing Africa's Narrative - CAN Mission & Vision:

Changing Africa's Narrative (CAN) is a non-profit organization ‒ with no government intervention ‒ that aims to bring life back into the idea of Africa rising by constructing an archive of all that contributes to its beauty. Based in the United States, CAN is a start-up that is made up of a group of passionate youths from various regions

of Africa. We acknowledge that the most effective ways to change our narrative, both theoretically and practically, are to actively invest in it and be cognizant of those investments already made. Our ultimate goal is to have all CAN projects conducted by African youths in Afrcia. Rebuilding a nation requires a strong focus on Its foundation, and our foundation is our youth. Making up 70% of Africa's population, the African youth is most affected by African crises and can intimately relate to the urgent need for a continental intervention. We want to encourage them to get actively involved in rewriting Africa's narrative with the little resources that they have. We want them to understand that they do not have to belong anywhere in the world to change their world; to let them know that the rest of the world sees them and is willing to invest in them if they are willing to invest in themselves, and most importantly to encourage them to believe in their potentials and heed to their lives’ purpose.
