Daimon is the fifth track from ILUITEQ and Lorenzo Montanà’s Greek mythology-inspired collaborative album Katà Métron.
Daimon (in Ancient Greek) means God or Godlike; however, it originally referred to a lesser deity. The track evolves with minimal tangibility, much like the personification of the abstract concept of a deity, ghostlike and ethereal.
This album is out this Friday, and we’ve made it available for preorder at our Bandcamp. It is also available via our preorder partners abroad.

The track has a dark, mythical windswept feeling, making the name all the more fitting as Pneuma, in presocratic philosophy, means “air in motion, breath, wind.”

Apeiron, which roughly translates to boundless or unlimited, is an apt title for this track due to Lorenzo’s motorik bass work and ILUITEQ’s expanding synth washes that bring a limitless, expansive journey to mind.

Italian ambient duo ILUITEQ has collaborated with Bologna-based producer Lorenzo Montanà to create the Greek Mythology-inspired album Katà Métron. The album features ILUITEQ’s sprawling ambient passages nestled against Montanà’s more buoyant upstream ambient excursions. It takes its name from a Greek expression that translates to “according to the right measure,” which represents how we should live in harmony with one another and nature, a timely suggestion, considering the recent flood of turmoil we’ve created as a species.
