VII European Conference: Raw MatTERS Ambassadors at Schools in Bologna
On October 25, 2022 the National Research Council of Italy, Bologna, hosted students from 19 European countries in order to raise awarenss about the importance of raw materials.

Opening ceremony of the 29th Central European Olympiad in Informatics 2022
Competing teams from 12 European countries spent the morning familiarizing themselves with the space and equipment of Prva gimnazija Varaždin in Practice Session for tomorrow's competition and spent a pleasant afternoon socializing with the hosts and other competitors, walking around the city discovering various sights. This was followed by the official opening ceremony of the Olympiad. The ceremony took place in the Great Concert Hall of the Music School in Varaždin. All the guests, and especially the competing teams, were greeted by the principal of Varaždin First Grammar School Janja Banić, Deputy Prefect of Varaždin County Silvija Zagorec, President of the Croatian Computer Science Association Vlado Lendvaj, State Secretary in the Ministry of Science and Education Tomislav Paljak, State Secretary of the Central State Office for the Development of Digital Society Bernard Gršić and finally the chairman of the Organizing Committee of the 29th Central European Informatics Olympiad, Krešimir Malnar. The speakers emphasized the historical significance of the Varaždin First Grammar School and its role in education, the importance of informatics and digitalization in society and education, and the longevity of the Central European Informatics Olympiad. They wished all the teams a warm welcome and much success, but also to enjoy our city and each other's company. The ceremony was enriched by Luka Kolenko who performed his two original songs, and the program was moderated by Marko Daraboš. Both are students at Varaždin First Grammar School.

CENTRAL EUROPEAN OLYMPIAD IN INFORMATICS 2022 at Prva gumnazija Varazdin
Organized by Croatian Computer Science Association, CEOI 2022 is taking place at Prva gimnazija Varaždin, Croatia from 25th to 29th July. High school students from 11 European countries will compete in teams in order to solve challenging programming tasks.

Spanish Language Day and World Book Day
In order to mark 23 April, a day when the world celebrates books and Spanish language, the young journalists at Prva gimnazija Varaždin, Croatia connducted an interview with a young Croatian literary translator, Ela Varosanec (Krsnik) and published an insightful article about her journey of learning Spanish language and living in Spain and Mexico as well as about the beauties and challenges of the profession of a literary translator.
