I love doing social good. And I think filmmaking/storytelling is a powerful way to do that. I was recently involved with a fun campaign to shine light on the challenges new moms face when trying to feed their baby.

Most men don't know how traumatizing this is to new mothers. They don't realize that any mother who struggles with breastfeeding will feel intense shame and guilt every time the baby cries, because they feel they can't even fulfill their most basic needs.

So we created an online series of short films called Breast Pump: The Musical to shine light with a bit of humor mixed with compassion.

This week I was on with Nicea from Good Things Utah (link in comments) to promote the show.

She asked an interesting question at the end...

I don't post very often. Really, I'm a pretty private guy. But I through this was worth sharing. We just wrapped up filming an awesome episodic series of short films designed to bring more empathy and compassion to new mothers struggling with the complex issues surrounding feeding a new baby.

Was a crazy-amazing project. Ended up being 12 different short films that we were able to film in just two days. Who would have thought that we could create bingeable marketing that's part social-change entertainment?

Hey Utah friends. Would you be willing to come to a LIVE filming of the finale episode in a cool new series of short films I'm working on? We're filming this Friday night at the Scera in Orem. It's going to be a blast and will help new mothers as they navigate the complex challenges of trying to feed their baby—and we're doing it with humor and compassion.

If you can make it, here are the details:
The Scera Theater
745 S. State Street, Orem UT
Friday, Jan. 5th
7-9pm

Also, if you private message me, I'll send you a special access link normally reserved for press so you can preview the first three episodes. You'll get to meet the cast and see that this is going to be a hugely popular series.
