🥐🍇 Savory Turkey and Cranberry Crescent Ring 🥐🍇
Ingredients:
1 tube crescent roll dough
4 oz chive and onion cream cheese, softened
1 ½ tbsp Dijon mustard
3 tsp fresh rosemary or thyme, finely chopped (divided)
2 cups shredded Gruyère cheese (divided)
1 lb thinly sliced turkey (leftover or deli)
1 (14 oz) can whole berry cranberry sauce
2 tbsp melted butter
½ tsp poppy seeds
½ tsp granulated garlic
¼ tsp salt (adjust as needed)
Instructions:
1️⃣ Preheat the Oven: Heat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a large baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
2️⃣ Shape the Dough: Unroll the crescent dough and arrange the triangles into a circular shape on the baking sheet, overlapping the wide ends to form a ring. Keep the pointed ends facing outward.
3️⃣ Make the Filling: Combine the softened cream cheese, Dijon mustard, and 1 tsp of chopped rosemary or thyme in a small bowl. Spread this mixture over the wide ends of the dough. Sprinkle with 1 cup of shredded Gruyère cheese.
4️⃣ Layer Turkey and Cranberries: Lay the turkey slices over the cheese, slightly overlapping. Spread half the cranberry sauce on top of the turkey and sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of Gruyère cheese over it.
5️⃣ Assemble the Ring: Fold the pointed ends of the crescent dough over the filling and tuck them under the wide ends, sealing the ring shape.
6️⃣ Add Toppings and Bake: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter with poppy seeds, granulated garlic, and salt. Brush this mixture over the dough. Bake for 22–24 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
7️⃣ Finish and Serve: Allow the ring to cool for 5 minutes. Sprinkle the remaining rosemary or thyme on top, slice, and serve with the extra cranberry sauce on the side.
