Established in 1989, Janson Media is an independent media company based in New York, specializing in worldwide Digital, VOD, Television, Homevideo and Non-Theatrical distribution. The company has licensed content to virtually every country in the world, and its clients include major digital video platforms, broadcasters, and home-entertainment companies. Janson Media’s digital distribution reaches hundreds of millions of consumers around the world via its direct content partnerships with such major digital video platforms as Amazon, YouTube, Netflix, iTunes, Hulu, Twitch, Facebook, and others.
The Janson Media Rights Portfolio today has over 17,000 hours of content in distribution worldwide. The Portfolio includes standalone films and documentaries, and episodic television series across most genres, both scripted and factual. Animation and children’s programming, drama, comedy, horror, music and performance, lifestyle, current affairs, social issues, science & technology, health & wellness, nature & wildlife, travel & adventure, sport, history, and pop culture. In addition to partnerships with traditional producers of film and TV IPs, the portfolio also includes a large and growing library of content designed for digital platforms and apps from a new generation of content creators and influencers.

To maximize revenue and viewership for its Rights Portfolio and ultimately, for its Content Partners, Janson exhibits at the major content markets in Cannes, and its executives attend several film festivals annually. The company also utilizes a global network of dedicated sales associates with offices in Atlanta, Paris, London, Rome, Madrid, and Sydney.
Through PTS, its Public Television Syndication division, Janson also syndicates independently-produced programming to public television (PBS) stations across the United States. Non-Theatrical distribution includes inflight airlines, ships-at-sea, on-board trains and closed-circuit venues. The company reaches library, educational and not-for-profit markets and consumers, through its network of digital and legacy DVD distribution partners.
As a content creator, Janson has produced or executive-produced over 30 television primetime specials or series, working with such blue-chip American broadcasters as PBS, National Geographic, Discovery, Bravo, Lifetime, TNT, and A&E.
Janson Media is headquartered in The Cunningham House, a handsome red brick four-story townhouse, built in 1835 and located in the historic district of the Hudson River Valley village of Tappan, New York, about a 45-minute drive northwest of midtown Manhattan.
