Weber Brothers Productions is proud to offer a wide array of music services to suit your specific musical needs.
-Music Production: Behind every great album is a great producer. Kind of like a head coach, a producer harnesses raw talent and directs it toward the final goal....victory! Let our years of experience help take your music all the way. We’ll work closely with you to create an amazing recording you can be proud of.
-Session/Studio work: A recording is only as good as the musicians who play on it. Experienced, professional session players can take your sound to the next level. They have the skills to get the job done and done efficiently. Our previous session work includes recordings with Gordon Lightfoot, Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, and Ronnie Hawkins as well as dozens of indie artists across Canada, the US, and Europe. We specialize in electric/acoustic guitars, bass, vocals, piano, organ, slide, banjo, mandolin, synthesizers, and percussion. Looking for strings, horns, drums etc? We know great musicians who can provide any instrumentation you might require.
-Arrangements: Without a top-notch arrangement, even the best songs may fall short of the mark. The right arrangement can make a huge difference in how your music is received. Choosing the right tempo, chord progressions, dynamic approach, song layout and length all have bearing on how a song comes across in the end. We offer arrangement services for many genres, instrumentations or band configurations, including compositions for horns, string sections, and vocal harmony.
-Songwriting: Songwriting is a different process for everybody, some of the greatest songs ever written have been solo efforts, while others are collaborations between 2 or 3 people, or even a whole songwriting team. If you have a song you think could benefit from a new and different perspective, let us help bring your vision to life. Having released 13 original albums to date, along with many collaborations with other artists, we are well versed in the song writing process.
-Instrumentation: Choosing the right instrumentation is harder than it sounds. Most musicians first instinct is “the more instruments, the bigger the sound.” We have approached recordings this way ourselves over the years and have learned that this is not always the case. Figuring out “when and when not to” is a fine art, and one that can be quite difficult. Is the meaning of your lyrics getting drowned in a sea of guitars? Could your melody use more support from the bass or maybe a piano? Think of early Bob Dylan....guitar, voice, and harmonica...that’s all those songs needed. While the immense sound of The Beach Boys ‘Pet Sounds’ album, those massive ensemble recordings take those songs to a place that a stripped down approach never could, while still honouring the songs’ most important elements: the melody, the emotion, and the message. The instruments you choose to use, or not use, are a big part of defining your song’s identity.
-Private lessons: We provide specialized private lessons for students of all skill levels on guitar and electric/upright bass, as well as instruction for developing the sound of a full band for studio or live performances. Half-hour or 1 hour options are available for more advanced players, with a convenient location and reasonable rates. Online lessons are also available.
-Consultation: Looking for help booking/promoting live shows? Need advice on how to make your music more impactful, searching for the right producer or musicians? Wondering who to go to for mastering and manufacturing? Not sure what guitar or amp to use? Working on your tone? What’s a good practice schedule? We can help. We’ve had the honour of learning from some of the best musicians in the world over many, many years. Passing along this knowledge is not only our pleasure, it’s our responsibility.
